Hi, does ANY ONE KNOWS HOW TO PROVE SA-HT520 HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED for more than 6 months, as i am moving abroad (i've lost the paperwork and mine still looks new) and the country i am moving to is nightmare when comes to customes. i don't want to lose the system as it's gr8 and don't want to get in any unnecessary hassles as well. if u know any place (any discussion forum) where it's mentioned that it has been discontinued for long, i can print that off. maybe that'll help. cheers

While stopped and “DVD/CD” is the source, press and hold [∫] on the main unit and [S10] on the
remote control until “Initialized” disappears from the television. Turn the unit off and on again.
All settings will return to the default values.

Yes you can by connecting a optical cable from bd35 to your systems optical in put, then select this in put on your sysyem and set sound to prologic2, you will not get HD MASTER or DOLBY TRUE HD audio but will get dolby digital and dts.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: certain dvds lose the surround sound
if you are playing older or burnt dvds then chances are they were recorded using only 2 channel or stereo instead of 5.1,6.1 or 7.1 hope this is your solution

Try first unplugging unit from main, and holding the cancel button.
If that does not work try the following:
Hold at the same time the stop button on the main unit and key >10 on the remote control at the same time for about 5 seconds, until you get the word "initialised" on display. This will reset the unit to factory settings.
