Key board Something fell on the keyboard and a letter(N) has come out, I tried to fix it and some small metal things broke. Can I use a glue to fix it? Can I use Elmer's Glue-All or Super Glue? Do I have to replace the keyboard entirely? BTW, the PC is in good condition and the letter N is also working fine.

No, you can not glue it on. You will need to replace the keyboard. This is very easy to do on the Dell laptops. You can find a replacement keyboard for a reasonable price on ebay. Remove the four screws from below the touchpad / speaker assembly, note the size, they are different. Gently pry the touchpad / speaker panel upward beginning at one side. It may be a little stiff as there are plastic clips. With that removed the keyboard lifts out, release the retainer on the ribbon cable zif connector and remove the keyboard. For what it's worth, when I needed one, I found several keyboards on EBay for about $40 plus shipping or a new one from Compaq for $55 incl. shipping. They quoted UPS ground shipping but used next day air at no additional cost.

The F key near Middle C broke off my CTK 481. Is this something I can fix myself?

Is it broken to pieces or just came off.
I would open up try glue to pieces together and then swap the repaired key F4 with say the (less used) F6 key.

When on charging craddle the keyboard flashes one time green and threetimes red. and it is not charging properly. what to do?

Be honest have you dropped it? If so you should check the cap under the sleep/half moon key top left button. I was on my 2nd kboard and had the same thing happen as you are experiencing TWO times.
Opend it up and found that a small cap under that key was off, its held on to posts without "real" solder. Logitech uses a cap to bridge these connectors with "wire glue". Its real easy to dismantle and i know they say its a 3 year warranty but they LIE. For the 1st board i "fixed" i used a lump of solder bonded to the 4 posts and bought wire glue for the 2nd keyboard. Its an easy job

MAC "WIRELESS MOUSE" A 1015. The cover fell off and the metal bar on the cover will not stay in place and the small plastic cover over the light will not stay in place. help

I used Krazy glue (ethyl cyanoacrylate). The metal spring bar was originally held to the the cover by a piece of plastic sticking through the larger round hole at the latch end of the metal bar. Put the glue at that spot only.

My key board fell off and the space bar came off Itried puttingit back but it doesnt work

You can easily fix your space bar. I fixed mine last month when my daughter pulled it out of the keyboard. I used this video tutorial guide to help install the space bar key back into place. Its really very simple. have a look:

Key button got pluged off

You probably broke a little tab that connects the letter to the actual button.
Just get some of that thick (foam) double sided tape. regular double sided tape wont work.

good luck

Key board button

Check on Ebay, there are several vendors that sell individual keys and retainers. You may also check the price for a new keyboard, sometimes you can get the whole thing at a decent price and you will have your old one for parts. Ebay is where I get all my keyboards and keyboard parts for my customers.

Keyboard HP 12c

Under the rubber membrane ,touching the individual symbols (in this case zero & plus[+] there is a carbon coating (black stuff) that shorts out the two metal connectors on the board, when u press down on the keys
Open hp12c and lift up membrane away from body and see if the metal contacts[on the body] are warned, damaged or that the " black stuff " is on the membrane.
u can try a fix...........take a small piece of aluminum foil and glue it to the underside of rubber membrane where the "stuff" was.
Don't put a thick piece because the metal foil should bounce back with the membrane as u press down on the key.
Hope that helps.
I tried this once.........a small dab[ hey!!,, when I say a dab....i mean a dab....of glue. Sharpen a pencil & rub the tip across a EMERY board so that the carbon "black stuff" from the pencil falls on top of the glue. Let it set & try for 2 hrs or more.
HOPE THAT HELPS!!!

Loose key

Is only the cap loose, but you can still operate that key?

On most laptop keyboards, the letters are caps on the keyboard button. They are held in place by small plastic tabs on the keyboard structure. The cap snaps in place and is held by the tabs. If the tabs are broken, the cap stays loose.

Some keyboards use a small slider that moves as you depress the key, which means you can't glue it.

Laptop keyboards are replaceable and can be purchased cheaply on ebay or some repair sites.
