The DVD stopped loading

I was watching a movie, the DVD froze as they do at times, I took out the DVD and put it back in the player and now it will not load the DVD, the VHS part still works.

Someone first will have to open the player to see if mechanism jammed or something out of position and to see what is actually happening--this is the flaw with combo units--one part fails to work and that can be the end of the unit.

Trouble Loading & Not Registering To TV

I can't say 100% but it sounds similar to the problem I had with the same model . The sleep mode in the on/off switch had gone bad and a new switch fixed the problem. It was about $42 to rtepair at my local electronics repair shop. Hope this helps.

Hey Aurora, After you put your password in, go back and change the password using blanks spaces. Then it should reset to 'parental control off'. Let me know if this works. Some Sanyo models are different to reset.

Movies on my recorded discs freeze after a few minutes of play

Sometimes this unit gets "confused" - not sure why -- but try first using a CD cleaning disk and let it start and stop a couple times (sometimes lens gets dirty and does this) - if that doesn't help then try unplugging unit and leave unplugged (from wall socket) for about 30min then plug in, set local time and then see if the disks play okay - sometimes this "resets system"

DVD player froze, now only turns off

Sounds like the power supply in the dvd player has failed. It works just well enough to turn on the led infront but as soon as you go to do anything it shuts off. This is common in cheaper dvd players. Unless you can troubleshoot electronics. Or know someone that can. Your best bet is to unplug the unit and disassemly and retrieve your dvd.
