Started dying out a week after purchase, I use it for radio only, wont last more than one one hour a day, Now it doesnt charge the battery

I've heard where some batteries have to 'relearn' their charge. Try discharging the battery completely (using the player until it shuts down from low charge). Let it set about half an hour like that. Then plug it in and recharge it, be sure to unplug it just after the charging icon goes green. See if this helps. If you need a new battery, you would probably want to check eBay as they are hard to find other areas online.

Does it indicate that it is fully charged? If it does, I would return it or have it replaced. You have a 1 year warranty from SanDisk. SanDisk Technical Support 1-866-726-3475 If not, try using a different USB port on the computer, preferably one in the back. Best of Luck.

My best bet is the cable gone wrong. If you can find a similar cable to purchase from a computer shop or a friend you can try it.

As long as your computer can see the player, it is likely the firmware has gotten corruped.
First, connect your player and back up any important media items that are on it.
