Does the fast dial tone persist, or do you get a regular dial tone after a couple of seconds? If the latter, then you have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

The system would have set that 165 are the voicemail ports so the voicemail must be plugged into these ports .usually the last extension on the system Once connected dial 164 then 3. 1. 1 and follow the peompts

If that pulsating tone is anything like what I sometimes here on my phone, then it has nothing to do with your phone. It's your telephone company telling you that there's unheard voicemail on their system. You'll need to contact your telephone service provider for instructions on how to access their voicemail system.

What's answering the calls, is it the Panasonic system or the central office? When you figure that out, and it's locally, then post back with the model number of your phone sytsem cabinet and whether you dial 107 or 115 ot get into voice mail, or the message is left in the central office.

Try pressing and holding the MUTE (CLEAR) button until the handset beeps. Then clear all incoming calls.

A couple of reasons:

If you're using the MESSAGE button and you have no messages, the button won't dial anything.
You may have had a VOICE MAIL button and it became unprogrammed.
You have no voicemail system, or it became unlinked.

If your Panasonic brand voice message system is working, as in taking messages, but your phone is not able to get them, the default access code is 165. Try dialing that on the intercom and see if it goes to VM.

If you need to reprogram the button, try PROGRAM 99 press the button and dial 2165 STORE if the button has a light or just 165 STORE if it doesn't.

If you've unlinked your MESSAGE light, that's a different animal and you need to post back as a comment for a solution.

vonage gives you a personal voicemail. You should contact them and find out how to retrieve it first. If you have your companys voicemail on the panasonic you should also make sure that vonage voicemail get longer waiting time.

Panasonic KX-TG1050N Cordless Phone. Base handset (No. 1, KX-TGA100N) does not work, no keypad response or dial tone. Green indicator message light ON (should only work with the TG1000N base unit) all the time till battery runs down. Display shows message ?C533?. Can still send and receive calls on extension phones 2 and 3.
