SOURCE: no heat
hi there
your problem is either the t-stats have blown which is very common or your heater is blown..
im guessin your t-stats beacuse they are the most common on hotpoint dryers to blow. There always blowing
They located at the back of the dryer behind the protuding panel so there for you dont need to open it all up just that panel.
To check if their blown check for continuity,, no continuity no good merry christmas cheers

I am not familiar with this particular unit, but I have a condensing dryer (Malber) which pumps out the water by itself. I am guessing that your unit requires you to empty a bin manually. Even if the bin is empty, I think the unit thinks it needs to be emptied and that is why the dryer will not work to give you hot air. If you do have such a bin, it might have a weight switch which the unit uses to detect if the bin needs emptying. See if the weight switch is working. The same weight switch idea is used on dehumidifiers.

Remove the filter completely from the bottom left of m/c
Wash out thoroughly under running water.
Reach in with your hand and clear any fluff and gunge you can find there.
At the rear of the filter housing there is a small drainage hole that blocks up.get a plastic bag tie or similar and poke it clear. Also there is a float chamber and some times the float sticks, this being the case , then it involves a complete strip down to clear prob.
Hope this helps
Plz rate solution
.Thanks.

Remove the rear cover and you will see the element and stats, you will need a meter to test them.
Pull one wire off each thermostat and with a meter that beeps, test across each thermostat, if they are o/k, then the meter will beep,
if no beep then no good.
Replace all heater stats, even if only one has gone
If the stats are o/k then you will have to check the heater, this is more involved as it entails removing the top cover and left side panel looking at the dryer from the rear.
Unplug the heater lead, and again test with meter,if element o/k, then prob is timer or main pcb could be faulty, it really does get quite involved.
There is also a thermistor at the front of the dryer, that is part of the heating circuit.
Plz rate my solution.
Thnks.

I think that I have already suggested some possible reasons for the prob you are experiencing with your dryer, but I don't think I have mentioned the fact that the pump could be fauty, you should be able to hear it running, just a thought , you never know.
