Hello from fixya, most important is the supply shut off the water undo where conects to the refer.put inside a bucket/pot and turn on water you should have a great flow.if ok there you could move to filter but the water valve could have a mineral blockage and is harder to test.you would have to undo the out put side of the chilled water then hit the water cradle.etc.. on the ice maker.also a thought.if ice small and water slow.may be filter if had good house supply.hope that helps.God blessyou house, tom

The water flow needs to be checked,if the flow of water is very slow or no water is flowing then water dispenser will not dispense water. But water flow is checked ok then other possibilities like water valve and water line needs to be inspected. For more details.Click the link below:---

Water flow is slower than the normal. we check the saddle valve, lately we changed the water filter from that day on water flow is very slow.

In some models it creates an automatic by-pass when the filter is removed. If this is one of those models remove the filter and use the dispenser with it out. If you get good pressure now, it indicates a problem in the filter housing. If it's still slow it could be due to low supply water pressure or a defective valve. You can check the water at the valve inlet and outlet. First turn the inlet (main) water supply valve off. Now disconnect the water inlet line at the valve and place the end of it in a pitcher. Turn the water valve back on and check if there is a good solid water flow. If the water flow is good reconnect the water to the valve and now take the water line loose on the back side of the valve. Activate the water dispenser and check how the water flow is coming out of the valve. You will probably need another person to help you with this check. If the water seems slow, then the valve will need to be replaced.

Water is flowing very slow from the dispenser on my GSS27RGMff Model

Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.

Water in door too slow coming out

A strainer before the inlet valve can get stopped up restricting flow. It's on the back where the water supply connects.

You have two points where you can check the dispenser water. At the rear where the water supply comes in is the water inlet valve. If you disconnect the dispenser water line and then see how fast the water comes out when you try the dispenser. If it's slow here there is a valve our water supply problem. If it's normal, disconnect it at the bottom of the freezer door and try again. If it's normal here it may be frozen in the door. If this is the case open the door till it thaws. A blanket over the opening will prevent thawing of all the food.

How to increase the water flow from water dispencer on a FLSC238DSO when getting water it takes for ever to fill a glass

If your fridge has a water filter, you should change it every 3 months. An old filter can cause slow flow problems.

But it will never come out as fast as the kitchen sink. Depending on the location of your fridge, you have 10 to 25 feet of 1/4" pipe between your water glass and the high-flow plumbing, and water just won't move very fast through that.

I changed the filter for the water dispenser and after purging the water for awhile, the dispenser stopped working. What needs to be done to get the water dispenser to work again

Put the old filter back on , if water was fine . You never change filter just because a light comes on telling you to . The change filter light comes on after time or usage of dispensor .( Good way for manufacturers to make extra money ) . Change the filter only when water flow slows from dispensor .

Low flow from water dispenser

hi, this can be because of the filter. when the water is flowing threw the filter, it is sent threw many channels inside the filter before it reaches the dispenser. this slows it down a bit. this is quite normal but, if it's slowed down to a dribble, i suspect a water valve malfunction or you may need to change the filter.
