Samsung SCH A660 Keeps Shutting Off and Is Slow to Start Up
When starting up, phone now takes over 1 minute to be ready.
It was fast when we first got the phone.
Now, sometimes it shuts off completely when we flip it shut. It goes dead immediately - it does not go through the regular shutdown sequence so you don't realise it has shut off.
Any ideas? Phone is just over 1 year old.
Re: Samsung SCH A660 Keeps Shutting Off and Is Slow to...
I've had my phone awhile, and it has always started slowly. It has probably been dropped to many times, or you have many recorded, downloaded, or contact files which just make it slower to start up. Like a computer.
When you shut it off, keep it open until the SAMSUNG logo has disappeared and the screen is black, otherwise it might/will stay on.

Dial *228 and press send. Listen for the prompt and press 1 to program
your phone. Remain on the call while your phone is programmed (could
take up to 2 minutes). Do not hang up until you hear, 'Your phone has
been programmed successfully." If that does not work call 1-800-922-0204
Sounds like you have a defective battery. If you can use the phone normally with the charger plugged into it that is more than likely the problem. Step one is order a new battery. If that don't solve the problem take it into the store, but only if it's under warranty, otherwise shop for a new one.
