It is possible that you messed up the convergance of the projector lamps on this TV. Try the convergance setup to see if this helps.

You have all three projection tubes that are failing. This was a common issue for this year. Depending on serial number 2 of the 3 CRT's (green and blue) are no longer available. They will have to be pulled and rebuilt.

LED flashes of 8 times are indicative of a "High Voltage Error" which means something along the lines of "T8005 is faulty. (D board)" according to the service manual.
