Blue Screen Error Message

Hello, my dell dimension 3000 desktop shows an error on a blue screen during startup that reads 0X00000024 (0X00190203, 0X82B4B638, 0XC0000102, 0X00000000). I have tried restarting in all of the suggested modes but to no avail. I believe there are driver errors but I can’t get past this screen to try and fix it. I ordered installation discs from dell; one is for the operation system and one for applications. I tried putting both in at startup but nothing happens. I really don't know much about this stuff but my daughter needs this computer for school. HELP Please!!!! error 0x000000ED 0x81B3FAE8, OX0000006,OX00000000,OX00000000

Looks like you've been getting two different Stop errors...

The 1st error, 0X00000024, aka Stop 0x24, is a Windows 2000 error. (XP is just an updated version of 2000) Microsoft gives an explanation here.

First try to replace ram with known good one.. if you have two eject one and vice and versa.. run system to see if it's working.. if it doesn't then try to install windows on it.. If it's not Harddrive bad sector that has corrupted your windows. .It would be either RAM or a virus...

Also update the drivers that control your PC.

Try booting in safe mode (keep pressing F8 until selection screen appears) then try system restore.

Blue screen while running indicates that the OS (one of the file) has been as been corrupted.... Re installation of the OS will solve the problem

Hi, Boot into Safe Mode by pressing F8 at bootup and choose
'Safe mode with command prompt'

At the command prompt type
C:\Windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

Hopefully System Restore will open so choose a Restore Point a few days ago.

Beeping on startup is a memory error. The blue screen you got was most likely caused by a memory error as well. First, take out then re-install your memory. If the error persists and you have more than one stick, test each one singly to find out which stick is bad.
