I had the same problem with LS4278, you need to configurate your keyboard and scanner in the same regional and language options
SOURCE: Barcode reader language
Concerning the Z issue you should select german keyboard from 123scan
Else you will have to program macro to substitute the caracters
SOURCE: hi, can ls2208 scan a memorex 9840 tape bar code
Hello khlai. The quick answer to your question is: Yes. An LS2208 can decode (read) code 39 barcodes. However, since you are reading a barcode on a tape, I would predict that the symbology is actually 'Trioptic Code 39". Trioptic Code 39 is a variant of standard Code 39 that is used for marking computer/tape cartridges. I've uploaded the LS2208 manual to my company's website for you. Just follow these instructions and you'll be right as rain.
Then you're all done! That should fix the problem. If you have any other problems, feel free to send me a message or email me. I hope this helps. Good luck!
