I was taking the pictures off my camera when the plug came out of the wall. my screen went dark and within minutes the camera went off. now the camera will not work the only thing it does is the red light will go on when you hook it up to charge. i bought a new battery and nothing happens but the battery will charge.
i had the camera hook up to the pc and the elect. outlet. using the terminal adapter wich is conn. directly to the camera, the usb is conn to the terminal adapter and then to the pc. and the AC power adapter to the power outlet. The AC power adapter came out while the picture files where being transfered. and then the screen on the camera went out. the only thing on the camera that works, is when charging the battery the red light will go on (the light is on the camera.)i had the camera hook up to the pc and the elect. outlet. using the terminal adapter wich is conn. directly to the camera, the usb is conn to the terminal adapter and then to the pc. and the AC power adapter to the power outlet. Re: Finepix f10 problem
Plug came off the wall?
What do you mean by this, the plug to what exactly the charger?
How is the charger camera battery set up?
Where is the red light on the charger?
More detail please
Try plugging the camera in direct to PC USB, on battery only, No Power supply.without the intervening 'adapter' That will either work thus showing the 'adapter' is blown or power supply wont work hinting the camera is wrecked. So by process of elimination you will prove which item has faulted.Looks like you have destroyed a component.

I am not familiar with this sort of set up. Most cameras will connect via USB direct to computer in addition to any cradle/housing/adapter. If it is still under Warranty check that route. If not check the makers webs site where replacement parts may be available. As I said earlier a component has been wrecked it seems. Other wise a new camera? but choose one not so complex in connectivity this time.
If you have house contents insurance - you may ,repeat may be able to claim compensation for an 'accident'I am not familiar with this sort of set up.

Problem with the Fuji FinePix A330 Digital Camera
I have a Fuji FinePix A330 camera and when I try to take a picture in the light, daylight or lamp light, lines appear through the picture. Sometimes fine lines but other times like a burst of light. This just started happening recently. But when I take a picture in the dark with the flash the photo turns out fine. Any answer as to what caused this? Thanks
Press the 4-way switch downwards to cycle through the selftimer modes: First press shows the selftimer symbol, which means 10 secs delay, next press shows selftimer2 symbol, which gives 2 secs delay. When delay is set, press the shutter button to take the picture. The selftimer lamp will blink untill the picture is taken.
I have the exact same problem on my finepix, it occured today when I was uploading pictures and the battery on the camera went out... Maybe its bricked or something such... Ive searched firmware downloads but no success..... So Im also hoping someone has a solution...
HI, this is isolated within the LCD screen. the input ribbon may be defective or, the entire screen could also be damaged. you will have to replace the lcd screen in this case due to the integrated design. you can confirm my diagnosis by, pullingthe battery or plug for 5 minutes. if this screen is still not operating normally after you re insert the battery, this will confirm LCD screen failure.
Hi I am vortash .. check for damage on your download lead and around the camera plug interface .. check that the drivers are still installed and reinstall them to make sure ... if you have a sd card installed remove it as it may be lose in the socket and the camera is trying to read it and can't .. check your batteries are ok .. try it on another computer .. if all this fails sounds like the camera interface has broken constant plugging in and out can sometimes cause problems with a loose plug .. hope tthis helps Regards Vortash
Try holding in the power button on the camera with the charger connected to the camera & still plugged into the wall outlet. This may be a reset the manual doesn't tell you about or simply a weird fix for the same problem I had with my F10.
this problem may happen due to sticky shutters. when a camera is left non operative for a long time sometimes the the shutter gets stuck due to some sticks substance between the blades. BUT you specified thet it's not taking OUTDOOR PICTURES that means that it is working fine indoors ??? That's confusing..

i can't put the usb into the camera without the intervening adapter.
