I recently bough an internal LG cd burner. I followed the instructions and installed in correctly (I think). Now when I turn on my computer it cannot read any CDs although the Device manager in Windows says that the device is working properly. Can someone help me?
If you only think youve installed correctly, double check the jumpers on back whether master or slave depending on which ide cable is used and whether there are two devices or one on the ide cable. was the cdrom recognised by windows when it was rebooted after install and automatically installed? check on the device manager on the ide/atapi controllers see if ultra dma is being used.
