This TV has an HDMI interface, not DVI. If your source is DVI, you can get an DVI to HDMI adapter. The HDMI carries both video and audio data, so you will need to connect your audio separately.

Hi, I have bought LG LCD ld310 . Can I connect my computer output to lcd tv through dvi-hdmi cable or vga-hdmi cable Thanks Jatinder Kumar

Hi Jatinder Kumar ,
Yes you can connect your computer output to lcd tv through dvi-hdmi cable or vga-hdmi cable.
1. Connect to HDMI (DVI) : just plug in HDMI (DVI) out of PC or laptop to HDMI or DVI TV. Than select source from HDMI.
2. Connect to PC : Plug D sub to TV, select PC in.

I hope that will help you.
thanks.

How to use rca entertainment series 32 inch as pc monitor

Assuming that your RCA 32 inch tv has an HDMI or VGA input, all you need is the proper cable to connect the two units. If your computer has a VGA out (blue female connector) and so does your TV, you would need a male to male VGA cable. If your computer has a DVI out (white connector), you would need to purchase a DVI to HDMI cable. The combinations can me played around with depending on what connectors are on the back of the TV and what you have as an output for your PC.

Which accessories are a 'most have' for connecting my TV to a desktop pc?

You'll need:
•VGA cable
•S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable
•HDMI cable
•DVI cable
Check the connection options on your TV. If your TV has a VGA connection slot, plug the TV into the computer with a VGA cordlike a computer monitor. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the back of the computer and the other end to the TV. Switch between normal TV viewing to displaying your computer on your TV by selecting the proper mode from the remote control, some remotes will mark the proper mode as "VGA" while others will label it "Computer" or "PC."
Check the back of your computer to see if you have an S cable slot. Connect S cable portion of the S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable to the computer and plug in the green audio plug to the audio port of the PC. Plug the red white and yellow RCA cables into the matching colors of the RCA slots on the TV. With this method you will need to switch modes from TV to video.
Check the back of the computer and TV for either DVI or HDMI slots. The slots on your computer must match, you cannot connect a DVI to a HDMI. Plug one end of the corresponding cable into the the back of the TV and the other end into the computer. Choose the correct program mode, HDMI or DVI, from the remote to view the computer from the TV.

Where do I get a cable to connect my laptop pc to the DVI input jack on the Soyo 32" LCD TV?

You will need either a DVI-I to DVI-I cable or a DVI-I to HDMI cable. Your computer should have a DVI-I output or HDMI. You can not directly connect a VGA output to the TV. If needed, you can purchase a VGA to component (Y/Pb/Pr) converter.

I want to connect this pc to LCD TV want know where is the audio output of the computer

LCD TVs are the best at showing computer graphics, so many come with PC video connection ports by default. If it does have one of these ports, all you need to do is get a cable to connect to it. This is usually a male-male cable. Be warned, however - stores like Best Buy and the like tend to horribly overcharge for cables. Check prices online at places like www.newegg.com - I found some from $6-$10 with $5 shipping. They'll probably be $25 minimum in a store. Also, if it's a DVI connection, don't get a DVI-A cable - that's for analog connections. DVI-D is for digital connections (specifically for connecting to LCD screens) and DVI-I cables are for both, but be sure to get a DVI-D cable.

Check out this link and look at the picture of the DVI-D and DVI-A connectors:

http://www.pacificcable.com/DVI.htm#DVI_Hoods

My video card has a DVI-I output, but my monitor only has a DVI-D input, so I can't use a DVI-I cable on it (DVI-A and DVI-I both have 4 extra pins that DVI-D doesn't).

If it's got a VGA port then whoop-de-do. There's only one type of VGA cable anyway. ^_^ Source(s): http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=dvi+cable&x=0&y=0

How do i connect my compaq pc to tv

Without the model number comptuer, I cannot verify what outputs your comptuer has. Without this, I will provide the various ways a PC can be connected to a TV.

1. Use a VGA to DVI adapter (HD-15 pin to DVI). Use either a standard VGA montor extension cable (cheaper) or a DVI extension cable (more expensive) to make the connection

2. If you computer has a DVI output, use a DVI extension cable only

3. If your computer has HDMI output - use a HDMI to DVI adapter and either a HDMI or DVI extension cable.

In all 3 cases, you will probably need to go to the comptuer's Display Properties and adjust the screen size so it looks OK on your TV (go to the Control Panel - find Display) and adjust the screen resolution to match the format of your TV.

One note - when purchasing DVI cables, understand that there are 3 types - DVI-D (digital), DVI-A (analog) and DVI-I (digital and analog) and that the pin outs are different. Be sure to check your the owners manual of your TV to find which connection it needs.

Here is a good reference for DVI types

How do i connect advent pc to philips hdtv. do i need to change settings?

well not really, you need to buy the proper cable depending on the inputs of your tv, it may have the standar VGA connection as the standar pc monitor.

DVI to VGA cable
DVI to DVI
HDMI to DVI
HDMI to HDMI

after you have the proper cable just plug it, and turn it off, disconnect the standar computer minitor and turn it back on. the computer will set the input signal from the tv by itself.

thats for the video, for the audio you need a different cable

3.5 mm to RCA (white and red cable)
3.5 mm to 3.5mm headphonejack cable
but if you are using the HDMI to HDMI you don't need a sound cable.
