Re: Epson C70 Problem by Denny Conway (12/18/03 9:05 AM) reply + / - Aspah:A Service Error where all LED's/Lights are blinking at the same time,is normally a Maintenance Request Error, which is actually a Waste InkPad Overflow Error...JUST SO YOU WILL KNOW: On most Epson's, while theprinter is in this error condition, it disables all operations, including data communication. Normally your remedy is to replace theWaste Ink Pad/Pads with a new one/ones and then reset the InternalWaste Ink Pad Counter. If you just reset the counter and don't replacethe pads, then your printers old pads will eventually overflow andnormally start leaking ink out the bottom of your printer. You may wantto try doing a general search on the "fixyourownprinter.com" printerrepair site, under WASTE INK PADS or WASTE INK COUNTER RESET PROCEDURE.You should be able to find quite a few references listed in the lastsix months and most included web-site links, for possible help on thereset procedure. Some also list links where you can purchase a SERVICEMANUAL, in case you want to try and do the service yourself...GoodLuck! Denny Conway...P.S. THIS INFO POSTED BY "WES" MIGHT HELP: Wes12/07/2003 13:57:30 To see what's involved in servicing the waste inkpads try this http://www.epsonhelp.web1000.com/wip.html ...IF you just want to reset the wate ink counter you can use this program http://inkjetprinterhelp.us/epsonSSC.html.Resetting the ink counter will stop the lights from flashing butcleaning/replacing the ink pads is recommended. ...OR... Tim H12/10/2003 2:46:24 Subject: Epson Reset Program Download Location.after a long search for a reset program for waste ink, without paying,i found it. goto: http://inkjetprinterhelp.us/sscserve.exe ...please check that your printer is compatible goto: http://inkjetprinterhelp.us/epsonSSC.html ...p.s: this program has other features as well.

Epson c70 problem - 0.gif Re: Epson C70 Problem by Jim (12/21/03 4:10 PM) reply + / - I have just installed colour cartridges and a black cartridge into my C70.
Myproblem is that the black cartridge is not being recognised and I aminformed by the printer that there is insufficient ink in the cartridgeand a need a new replacement. The black cartridge that I have used is agenuine epson cartridge.
I have been informed by epson help linethat either I need to install a new new cartridge or that my printerneeds to go to Epson for a maintenance check.
I cannot afford another new ink cartridge nor can I afford the return charges and maintenance bill from epson.

Can you help?

0.gif Re: Epson C70 Problem by Wes (12/21/03 4:47 PM) reply + / - Theonly two option I can think of is to return the ink cartridge asdefective or you can trick the printer into accepting the cartridge.

Youwill need to download the SSC Service Utility and click on the "ResetCounters" tab and then click the "Reset Black" tab to reset the blackink cartridge. The only problem is you will need to reset or freeze theink cartridge.

You can get the SSC Service Utility here http://inkjetprinterhelp.us/epsonSSC.html

I hope this gets your printer going again.

1999 C70 the engine is hard to start and stalls when you stop

The same thing happened to my 99 C70. I had to replace coils, in the engine...has somewhat to do with the spark plug stuff. Cost me $600.
Also the electric seats go out, they are lame. I spent $150 fixing my driver side one time, then it went out again...and is stuck...but okay enough for me to drive, and I refuse to fix it again.

Farvy

Have you tried cleaning the printhead! Sometimes when you change ink cartridges, ink still remains in the printhead and dries out! Is should be under the maintenance tab in the printing preferences of the printer! When you change the ink do you change all of em? Cause one of em could be defective! Also try powering down th printer(plugging it out entirely) for like a minute then plugging it back up! also check out this site, this utility can come in very handy! http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml let me know how this works out! regards, babb
