I have two 30G ipod vidoes and neither of them works! screen is blank and nothing works to get it to come on......i have pluged it into a wall charger tried to connect them to the computer and still no luck. i'm thinking there is a defect in the 30G since apple no longer makes them and now sells the 80G for the same price.

Wait a little while and if that dosen't help, then just let your ipod die and then charge it again. Turn it on and see if it is still frozen.

Apple i pod frozen

Hey tmangel521

Check this link out from Apple Support that has a list of ways you can reset your iPod. Because you haven't listed the specific model, I can't tell exactly what steps to tell you. The link however has a list of different models and steps to take!

Good Luck

Try doing this: Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps!

Frozen iPod Nano

Press and hold the center button while holding down the menu button. This will reboot your Ipod. Check your IPod cable to see if its shorted. If might have transferred a song and crash in the middle of the transfer.

Ipod 30gb video black

Try a reset

To reset your iPod:
  • 1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  • 2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Tip:
  • If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
  • If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.

Ipod problems with Pioneer AVIC-D3

Do you have an ipod module or are you using ibus-to-rca cable to connect your ipod to the D3? In order to control full ipod functions by touch screen you need the ipod module, hence the D3 says ipod control ready not ipod control built in. Let me know so I can pin point the problem.
