Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, have you tried pressing Fn + F? keys on the notebook to cycle through the choices; notebook display, notebook display + external, external only. The F? key would be one of the function keys with the small monitor icon.

Additionally, you may want to lower not only the screen resolution but likewise with the screen refresh rates.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy New Year.

I my projector is new one used for 4 hrs, when i try to turn it on it just has a blinking green light. Please help Solve It! .

The blinking green light means the unit is either Powering On (Warming Up) or Powering Off (Cooling Down).

Powering On the Projector
1. Remove the lens cap.
2. Securely connect the power cord and signal cable. When connected, the ON/STANDBY LED will turn Amber.
3. Turn on the lamp by pressing " " button either on the top of the projector or on the remote. The ON/STANDBY LED will now turn Green. The startup screen will display in approximately 10 seconds. The first time you use the projector, you can select your preferred language from quick menu after the startup screen displays.
4. Turn on and connect the source that you want to display on the screen (computer, notebook, video player, etc). The projector will detect the source automatically. If not, push menu button and go to "SETUP". Make sure that the "Source Lock" has been set to "Off". If you connect multiple sources at the same time, press the "SOURCE" button on the control panel or direct source keys on the remote control to switch between inputs.

If you are still unable to get the unit to turn on, try unplugging it for 10 minutes and plugging it back in. If it still ceases to work, contact Optoma here: http://www.optomausa.com/rma_policy.asp

T30 cannot connect to projector/external monitor on windows 7.

You can connect your computer to a projector to give a presentation on a large screen.First make sure the projector is turned on, and then plug the display cable from the projector into a video port on your computer.
Then press Win Key+P or run DisplaySwitch.exe and choose your preferred display.
Note:1.You can use this same procedure to connect your computer to a monitor
2.This will have no effect if you’ve only one display connected

No display on expantion vga port for projector

The problem might be related to your native screen resolution. The C702TU laptop has a resolution of 1280 x 800. Most projectors do not support this resolution and if you cloned the main display, your projector cannot sync at this resolution. Look for an option to output a second display )instead of cloning) within your display settings. If your projector is plugged into your VGA port and turned on, Windows usually detects the second display automatically. Change the resolution on the second screen to something like 1024x768 or 800x600. These resolutions are supported almost universally across projectors.

"no signal " on the screen

After half a day of tinkering around with my new Acer I fixed my problem, which I think is yours also. I connected it to my notebook, it read the signal 'D-Sub' or something like that, and after my notebook finished startup, it reverted to no signal. I tried it with my desktop and it worked just fine. The display will only show up on one output device. It worked fine on my desktop because I was unplugging my monitor in order to hook up the projector. Hooking the projector up to my notebook left the display panel still active and that was where it displayed. In case I'm not making sense, the solution is this: After setting everything up, hit Control+Alt+F1 to switch display from your screen to the projector. To switch back, hit Control+Alt+F3

Connecting notebook to projector

Hi, it is possible that your notebook is set to a high resolution that your projector cannot handle. You may want to try to: 1) run your notebook as is (without connecting to the projector); 2) soon as windows booted up, right click on any clear area of your desktop and click on Properties; 3)Go to the Settings tab; 4) Set the Screen resolution to the lowest possible setting, towards left (less) and the Color quality to the lowest possible. Clilck Ok then reboot. Run once to see everything is OK except your icons are bigger now. Youo can try connecting your projector to see if it works. Hope this be of help to you. Cheers.
