Our T.V. decided to turn itself off by itself last night and refuses to turn back on. When the power button is pushed, either on the set itself or the controller, it turns on but then immediately turns itself back off - no sound, no picture. This is repeated each time I push the "on" button.
Any suggestions on what the issue could be or is the thing just a goner. It's about 4 years old by now. Add'l info: it's actually a computer monitor, but unfortunately I don't have the model number.
Any help is appreciated!
Thank you

I would look for a power supply from discount-merchant.com or shopjimmy.com if you can't find then repair the ps, look for bad caps bulging or open and ousing out.
the internal overload sensor is engaging to protect the system. The parts cost to replace the faulty board is about $70 But you need the skills to open the tv and change it I recommend you get a professional to do it More expensive of course but a lot safer.
first unplug it for 10 min then retry it. otherwise it is the power supply, the low voltage and high voltage supply are on the same board, have your tech send it in to be rebuilt if he is unable to do it him or her self.
take it back to the store, make sure the power cod is in all the way and you dont have it on a switched outlet, see if you can see any cracks or if the box was damaged/
