Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook

Laptop screen my hp pavilion zv6000 laptop sceen is messing up. when i start it up the start up screen looks pixelized but everything still works....whats wrong?? do i need to update nething???

Hi,

When you see your screen pixelized, it may be a hardware issue, but before concluding it as a hardware related, I request you to try downloading and installing the latest video driver software and if you wish you can even update your computer with latest BIOS update from the concerned website.

After installation, please restart the computer as the changes made will be updated once you restart the computer.

If the issue persists even after installation of BIOS update and Display driver software for your computer, now it can be concluded that the issue is hardware related and your screen has to be replaced with a new one.

Reload the system with a disk,
You may have corrupted some files or your hard drive may have some errors, so installing it may work temporarily.
Look on the bottom of your laptop, look for a Windows COA
it will tell you your windows version e.g. Vista / 7
Maybe someone you know will have the correct disk to reinstall the system

its sounds as if its looking for its windows bootup.
try starting it up in safe mode and let me know what happens.

I have a hp pavilion zv6000 latop. I was told the parts inside of the pc are disconnected. what parts should I look for that might be disconnected????

How did these "parts" get disconected? Was someone in the computer?

It may be necessary to bring it to a shop and have them look at it.

Please be clear on what the machine is doing when its on. (error messages, etc.)

i think settin of yor computers key board is change. go control panel and click on key board then look setting and correct it, thanks

try to re install first the software or program then observe if the same problem,, check the lcd inverter...

Display pixelized

Pixelated is a pretty generic description so doesn't help a lot, however, it could be you started your notebook in Safe mode, where Windows defaults to a low graphics setting for maximum compatibility with all hardware. Or, maybe you changed the video display settings yourself? Your native screen resolution is probably 1200 x 800, check the display setting to see if that's what it is set at now. Also check the HP.Com web site to see if they have a video display driver you can download, maybe your driver got deleted or somehow corrupted.

Frozen screen

try to log in safe mode when the laptop is booting by pressing F8 key, you will see many option select boot in safe mode, if you can boot in safe mode then reboot normally. if the problem remains then you have to repair or reinstall your operating system.
