My kv36hs510 2003 falt screen tv wont turn on but you can hear it trying to turn on, what can i do?

The cost to repair will exceed the cost of a new falt screen.

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..


Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..


1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

does the power indicator blink? If so thats an error code let me know how many time it blinks

Try unplugging everything then unplug the TV for a minute plug everything back in turn on. It might be the main board that needs replaced on it if that wont work. FYI LCD TV/ DVD Combos have been known to have issues

It could be only replaced. If it's rear projection TV - it's around $200-$300 parts plus labor. If it is LCD or plasma panel - it would cost apprx 80% of cost of new TV.

sounds like the on/off sensor and or switch went out. from what i hear this seems to be a common problem with the flat screens

Put the tv guide on and moved it down till the channel u want.Its only a temporary fix.

this is due manley to a power supply falt inside the tv and needs to be repaird posibley a o/c resister

having problem with sony television the screen when its turn on no images found just found red color on the screen..

I think maybe the G-board needs to be replaced. A TV shop will have to repair it. They normally start around $200.00
