Worked fine for four years. Left monitor on overnight like I usually do and it was in sleep mode (orange light on power button). Next morning it was off and would not power on. Tried different power cord, outlet, and different computer. No response from monitor at all. Was plugged into surge protector and not aware of any power problems in my home overnight. Is this monitor worth taking apart and attempting to fix? Is there a simple internal fuse to replace?

I suspect the monitor. For the sake of troubleshooting: Try another monitor for a few days. If you have the same issue, we will know it is the video card.
You should be able to just press the main system unit power button to wake up your 'sleeping' computer which will then resume your Windows desktop and bring you back to the Login panel if you have a password set for your account.
dont know how old monitor is but it may be time for an upgrade OR the pc/laptop/desktop? may need some setting changes for your wake time, sleep time, intervals, etc.? Sometimes if laptop,, you have to tap the power button to wake up after extended sleep times.
when i power start my computer,,the light come on and seems to operate but the monitor doesn't come on,,,when switichin the monitor off and on , the blue light comes on and it reads monitor goin to sleep and the screen gets dark,,but the monitor orange light is on,,,pls help
hey usually this happens due to static try to power cycle the monitor by disconnecting all the cables from the monitors then connect teh cables back one by one and see if it works and if not yes get teh monitor replaced
This is usually the inverter/power board failing. If it's under warranty, you should return for repair/replacement, if not, you can search for online the inverter/power supply board - it can be as expensive as finding a good clean used monitor, so many people choose to not go the repair route.
I would suggest that the "Event" that caused the CB to trip has caused ya Monitor to fail.. Probably in the Power Supply, My "Pet" area... lol.. anyway Thats wat I would think. It may even have an internal "Fuse" that has "Blown"?
