When I turn on the TV the light on the power button will light up and I can hear it warming up. After a few seconds the light will start flashing and the screen stays completely black. I can't even get the menu to show up on the screen. Does anyone know if this sounds like a color wheel and/or color engine problem? Are those parts easy to replace yourself or should you take it in for repairs? Are they expensive?
I would check to see if the lamp is actually comming on before anything else. The color wheel won't cause a loss of picture. Here is a link to purchase a suitable replacement lamp for the TV. It is 300 dollars less than the RCA version. http://www.partstore.com/Part/Thomson/RCA/HD61LPW42/Lighting+Technologies+International/LTI/260962RL/New.aspx

Hello,
My LOEWE CAL 232 will not power up. When the power button is pressed, the monitor turns on, with the LOEWE on the monitor, then the TV continues with the previous activity (antenna, DVD, VCR etc.). Now all that happens is
1. the red light comes on
2.after about 1 second the green light turns on for about 12 seconds
3. the the green light turns off for about 1 second
4. then the green light turns on again for about 12 seconds
and this continues until the power button is pressed to turn the TV off. During this time, the monitor does not turn on and the only sound I hear seems to eminate from the power button.
Any thoughts?

I'm having the same problem with my TV. The bulb does not come on and neither does the fan that cools it off. I had a TV repair man come take a look at it and his diagnosis was that the transformer is fried. He won't return my calls and has left me out on a limb. He also said i can't get the transformer by itself... that i have to buy a whole new power supply board. I can't find any replacement parts anywhere. HELP!
