Re: no power to dishwasher
Depends on the sequence. many, but not all, dishwashers start with drain to get rid of the slops. if yours starts with fill, then no water supply will prevent progress.(you should be able to hear a low hum which is the valve energised)
check also that the door is closing properly and latching.
better to use cold water fill not hot

I understand that the green light for your lock on your Frigidaire dishwasher is not turning off. I see your question is labeled under the model number GSB5712BC based off the design of that control panel you should be able to hold down the power dry button and the lock light should turn off.
If that does not correct the issue I would perform a reset on your dishwasher. You can do that by unplugging the power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
Take a sawzall and cut the front legs, pull the dishwasher out until the back legs hit the new wood floor and then cut those legs from the sides. It's your old dishwasher anyway, so who cares if the legs are cut off?
THERE IS A HEATING ELEMENT IN THE BOTTOM OF YOUR DISHWASHER WHEN IT GOES TO DRY IT TURNS ON JUST LIKE YOUR ELECTRIC OVEN DOES THEN GETS RED HOT AND DRY DISHES RUB YOUR HANDS ALONG THE TUBULAR TUBE AT BOTTOM OF THE INSIDE OF YOUR DISHWASHER AND LOOK FOR ANY HOLES IN IT ANYWAY LONG STORY SHORT IT IS YOUR HEATING ELEMENT OR THE WIRES CONNECTED TO IT
If you remove the bottom panel of the dishwasher below the door right at the floor you will see on the right hand side, a metal box with a philips head screw holding the side of the box dowm. If you remove this screw you will see the electrical connections that you can wire this pig tail to properly
heres a part number for a power cord 8566201, it costs about $50.. the same cord you can purchase at the big hardware store chains, home depot or Lowes, a heavy duty extension cord, with one end cut off, will be a fine sustitute and probly only $10 tops.. just buy a real thick extension cord
