SOURCE: my remote is not responding to the tv even i have changed the new baterry

Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.

clip_image001.jpg
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

hope this may help;

SOURCE: my remote for the harmony 550 says welcome to

First I would check to see if any of your buttons are sticking. I have found that this is a common problem with the 550 remote. I really like this remote but if nothing works check your buttons to see if any are pressed under the plastic. This remote can only work one button at a time so if one is being pressed it will not work.

SOURCE: remote control code for a daenyx tv

My Daenyx DN-191 D TV remote stopped worked after a while. I didnt get one universal remote that works with this piece of junk. I called their customer service at 1-877-329-8351. They said the remote will be $30 + $7 (shipping) + tax. Your best bet will be to buy a replacement remote or better toss this junk off the window.

Phillips 42 inch #242254901817 will not respond at

Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
You here reports that even the new remote too does nor responds. Which remote did you bought? An original one or a universal remote? If it is an original one, and even your set do not respond it, the infra-red sensor inside the TV is faulty. Replace it. Contact any service technician. If it is a universal remote control; you have to set it up with the set-up codes said to Philips brand TV [The setup code list will accompany with package of each universal remote control], to work with it.
Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

I have an old Zenith T.V. that works perfectly except that it can not be controlled by the brand new remote I bought. It appears that the T.V. does not respond to the remote. The remote has codes for...

If you have tried all the codes for the tv, and none of them work, the tv might be too old to respond to the newer remotes. Check that the batteries are inserted properly into the remote.
Some older tvs are just not compatible with todays systems.

T.v. does not respond to remote control, but does work maually from side buttons

Turn tv on manually.Test the remote control all functions are dead or some functions work other don't?Tries take the remote control parts and clean the inner rubbers buttons between the rubbers insulater and the remote circuitries board and the battery connections + - connections with some rubbing alchahol. Then wait awhile like 20 mins and putting it back together again and putting in new battery in the remote,it might work again. If getting the same result than the remote CPU chip is probally dead, remote control devices are very depended on it CPU chip.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote for the replacement.

My original remote with this model stopped working several months ago.I bought a phillips universal remote and that worked fine for several months and that stopped working.I bought a new Phillips...

The first possibility is that the new remote control is a dud out of the box. It can happen. Another possibility is that the remote sensor in the TV has failed. Then the remote is transmitting, but it's not being picked up by the TV. (The lights are on but there's nobody home.) If you can, return the new remote to the store and exchange it. Then, if the set still doesn't respond, you'll need to replace the remote sensor.

I bought a vizio 42

A universal remote will work as long as vizio is listed as one of the brands on the back of the box for the remote. Most of them are easy to program as long as you follow the directions. You can pick one up for less than ten bucks just about anywhere.

LE26R74BDX TV Not responding to Remote

there is a easier way to check your remote.
Open your radio on AM frequencies, you don't need to be tuned just noise is perfect, then bring your remote near the antenna and press some button. You will ear the frequency in your radio. If it works this way but not on the TV make sure to press the TV button before using it (if the remote is universal).
