Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Flashing on and off

I was switching SIM cards in my unlocked V3. Now all the phone does is flash on and off: First a white screen on the display, then the backlight on the keypad. Does not respond to any keys. I have re-switched the SIMs and removed and replaced battery several times, but as soon as it powers up it starts flashing. 1 year warranty ended one week ago!!!

Hi. No problem with warranty... expired a week before phone developed fault!

Got as far as getting the black screen with the s/w info on it after the HelloMoto splash screen. Only way I can get rid of the s/w info is to power off again but when I power back on I get original problem.

Any other ideas are appreciated! Thx.

Well that and unlocking the phone voids your warranty. First try taking your battery out and then holding down the # and * keys while you put the battery back in. If it didn't automatically load to a black screen displaying your software version, power it on while holding down those keys. once you've reached this screen let go of the keys and power it on normally. If that doesn't work reply to this post and I will troubleshoot further.

ok do you have a data cable for it. Actually any mini usb cable will work. You'll need to reflash your firmware into the phone. To do this you will need to find the programs RSD lite, a bootloader downgrader, downgrade the bootloader in the phone so it will accept the new firmware, Then you will need to find reputable firmware online and flash it into the phone. SOUND TOO COMPLICATED? I would advize a proffessional do this. If you would like to try this email me at [email protected] and I will send you as many resources that I can.

Pls how can i flash my nokia N95

No matter what network your Nokia N95 phone currently runs on, you can unlock it---or "flash" it---to run on any GSM network. You will only be able to use your unlocked Nokia N95 phone on networks that use SIM cards---such as T-Mobile and AT&T---and not on CDMA networks such as Sprint and Verizon, which do not provide SIM cards.

Unlocking the Handset
1
Remove the back cover and the battery from your cell phone. Locate a silver sticker with a bar code on it. Take note of the 15-digit IMEI number printed on it. At this time, also remove the SIM card and write down the numbers printed on the back of it. The SIM card is the small, white data chip in the silver cradle right next to the sticker. You will need these numbers to obtain your Nokia unlock code.
2
Request a Nokia N95 unlock code from your service provider. If they cannot provide you with an unlock code, you can buy one online.
3
Replace the SIM card, battery and cover. Fully charge your handset.
4
Turn on your handset and type "#PW+".
5
Enter the unlock code given from your phone company or website. Make sure you dial the number exactly as it was given to you. If you dial this number incorrectly three times, you will be permanently locked out of your handset.
6
Dial "+1#". At this point, the screen on your Nokia N95 should read "SIM Restriction Off."

Inserting SIM Card
1
Switch your handset off and remove the back cover and battery.
2
Remove the SIM card.
3
Insert the new SIM card into the SIM card slot. Now that the phone has been unlocked, this can be a SIM card from any U.S. service provider that uses SIM cards.
4
Replace the back cover and battery and switch the cell phone on. The screen should now read the name of the new service provider

It's because you or somebody already entered too many wrong codes, you just have to leave the Motorola RAZR V3 ON with the errors message and after 40 minutes to 2 hours the message "Enter Code Special" will appear again!
