My blue ray player wont read any discs

If you can't get a menu picture from blu ray, check output jacks going from player to tv. if you a picture from blu ray menu, then you may need to clean the lazer eye in blu ray player.

Could be either dirt on the disc or lens of the machine. Clean both!

The DVDs use red light, and the blue rays use blue light, 2 systems. Have you tried a cleaning disc?

Sony is quite of a sensitive player. It wont play all type of discs especially self burned ones. It will only read original discs. Not only with this model but generally for Sony models. If ure looking for a multiplayer then i would suggest using Pioneer. But since u already bought it, then u have no choice. Continue using it with original discs. If u have issue with original discs, then ur player has gone haywire. Time to send it for service to the service center if its under warranty. If it isnt under warranty, then send it to local tech store, maybe your optical lens has worn out.

Turn off the power.
Press and HOLD the eject button.
While holding the eject button, turn it on.
This works with most players, but may not work with all.

sounds like the blue ray lens fried, u should be able to find one on ebay or craigs list not hard to put in

anyone having problem sharp aquos bluray reading disc just call 1-800-be-sharp to update your player you will need a computer and a usb 2.0 drive , so you can load update from computer to drive then pull drive from computer to the back of player load load it to player , they tell you all you need to know
