Re: My 32inch lcd tv keeps flickering it started all the...
TRY THIS
1
Turn the TV off with the front-mounted power button, not the
remote. Unplug the TV's power cord from the wall outlet. Let an hour
pass before plugging the cord back into the wall outlet. Turn the TV
back on with the front-mounted power button and wait until it has fully
restarted. Bring up a TV channel to see if the image being presented on
the LCD screen is no longer flickering. A momentary power surge can
cause the circuitry inside the LG-brand LCD TV to function erratically.
2
Unplug the video cable from the video connection on the back
or side panel of the LG TV. If more than one video cable is connected
to the TV, disconnect all of them. Disconnect the other end of the video
cable from the video source device that it's attached to -- a DVD or
Blu-ray player, or a satellite receiver or cable box. Blow off the
connections on the video source device and on the back or side panel of
the TV with bursts of compressed air. Reinsert one end of the video
cable into the video source device and the other end into the video
input that it was connected to. Turn the TV back on with is remote to
see if the picture is now free of flickering. A loose or partially
connected video cable can cause the LCD TV's screen to flicker when
presenting an image.
3
Turn the TV off and unplug its power cord from the wall
outlet. Place a power conditioner next to the wall outlet. Plug the
power conditioner's power cord into the wall outlet. Plug the TV's power
cord into one of the AC sockets on the power conditioner. Turn the
power conditioner on. Turn the TV on to see if the picture is now free
of flickering. The RF signals in the electric line that the LG TV is
drawing power from can cause flicking through interference patterns
being generated.
Thanks for posting the video of what the set is doing, wish more would do that, makes it easier to help....This looks like a T-con board issue, go into the menu and see if that looks normal. If you have a normal looking menu then there is a really good chance its the TCON board...Good luckThanks for posting the video of what the set is doing, wish more would do that, makes it easier to help....This looks like a T-con board issue, go into the menu and see if that looks normal. Sounds like you have some capacitors that are leaking on your power supply. If so, each time it will take longer and longer for your tv to come on. A local shop should be able to replace them for around 100 bucks.
It looks like the power supply is failing on your TV. Some of the components are starting to fail after the TV warn up.
You can try contacting the manufacturers and ask them if they could Honor the 1 year manufacturers warranty by giving them the model and serial number, or hopefully the can repair by taking the date when the TV was manufactured.
I service these power supplies.

try reseating the LVDS cable inside the set it is the multi wire connector from the main board to the LCD panel (top portion of the panel). if that doesn't look to see if the back lamps are remaining lit during this problem. if they go out the problem may be power supply or inverters (lamp power supply).. some panel makers make these available as a seperate part, some do not and the panel must be replaced. if the back lamps stay lit it is the main board. start with the LVDS cable first.
