Use a test light in the socket holder and see if it works.If it does.nt use the light on the supply wire to the socket.If you have current then the socket is shot.Are you certain you did'nt use a defective bulb?

the most common problem is the light boeard in the tail lights usually replace the board full of bulb sockets and that takes care of it but before condeming the board make sure you are getting power to it

If new bulbs don't work, it is probably the harness that holds the bulb. I had to replace both on my car after fighting with the problem for over a year and not knowing.

any increase in bink speed is direcly related to a bulb being burt out.

it sounds like you need to replace the turn signal switch ( also known as a multifunction switch). The brake lights also go through that switch; You will have to remove the cover from around the lower part of the steering column to gain access to the switch.Hope this helps. Please leave comment.
