I opened up the phone and the wires from the port to the board are broke off. ( not all of them) how can i repair them? sprint and lg will not fix. saying customer fault.

You can buy a charger port on line i've seen some that cost as low as $2 they are very cheap. Then you have to solder the new charger port on and there you go. I'm in the process of fixing mine. I work with electrical engineers and my supervisor is going to teach me what I have to solder it to
The Rumor has always had problems with the charging port. I've had 5 different phones in the past year because the charging port kept breaking. But they just upgraded me to the rumor 2. its a lot nicer

I have had 2 new Rumors and basically had to buy new phones. I was told this was a defect,,,"Must be gentle with charging.." Yea tell that to 2 teenagers...If the phones were defective and they have restructured the port because they know its bad..we should be able to upgrade/trade for more functional models These phones are less than 6 monthsd old
My phone started giving trouble charging about 3 months ago, and after a while, well. my screen would turn white when i would slide it open.
I got tired of that after a while, so i brought my phone in for servicing. And the woman told me to put a $50 down pay on it. then should could fix it. I tried sending my phone in but neither sprint or lg will fix it.

i have had 2 lg rumor within a year. both were charging port issues. the 1st phone..i went to the service center and received a replacement. 2nd time around.. they said it was my fault and wanted to charge my $50 to get the same phone!! They need to classify this phone is defective, but no!!!...now they just came out w/the rumor 2!! crazy
My husband has had problems charging his phone from day one--the charger didn't seem to fit well into the port. Now, however, the charger won't connect at all.
