Unable to access DLink WBR 2310 Configuration page

Hi i have a Westell modem and a DSL connection.I recently bought a DLink WBR 2310 Rangebooster wireless router. The problem is that i cannot access the router configuration page. When i type in 192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.0.1 , the message is that page cannot be dispayed.

I even tried assigning a static IP to my computer and then accessing the router configuration page but it did not help. Anyone got a solution to this?

Help would be welcome

D-Link documentation stinks. The install disk never works. You have to get to the confiuration page 192.169.0.1 but it's almost impossible. Mine recently get got messed up for some reason. I think someone tried to hack my network. I've reset it a million times and set the static IP and other addresses but I still can't get to the configuration page. You need to disable your firewall to get to the page. That I know. But I still can't get in. There's some trick to it. Maybe it's a setting in explorer. But at $32 a pop for tech support might as well just buy a new one and get support for a year.

Reset the router first, press the reset pinhole on the back for 10 seconds using a paper clip, don't press it too much or it will mess up the settings of the router. then try to access again the configuration page.

At the back of the router is a tiny pinhole. Using a pen try to press it for 15 secs and try to access the page using the 192.168.0.1

I have a range booster g router D-link wbr-2310 and do i have to conect to the box from comcast or the conection on the wall and i put the disk an alat of archie show up and i dontknow what to put please...

I assme you have a DSL or cable modem from Comcast and this is connected to the wall. The LAN cable from this modem should now be connected to the WAN/Internet port on the DLink wireless router.
To secure your wireless network please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

I recently bought a D-Link WBR=2310 Rangebooster wireless router. The installation disk is only for Windows. I'm using a Macbook. Is there software for Apple? If not how do I set it up?

You can set up the router without the CD also.
If you connect the computer to the modem it works, right ?
Now you can connect the computer to the router and the modem to the rotuer . Access the router set up and set up the router.

Unable to connect to internet

The IP address 192.168.0.1 you use with your browser is not to get into the Dlink WEB page, it is to get into the DLink router configuration, to set up the router and wireless security eg. network SSID, turn off SSID brocast, WEP/WAP encryption, MAC address filtering etc.

Need to set up router without the CD

Connect one of your computer to LAN port 1, connect the modem to port WAN section, access the configuration page 192.168.0.1, configure the router as dynamic IP address under settings, then check the IP address under status (WAN section) if you have the IP address it means that your connected.

D-link WBR-2310 has serious drop out problems

I'm pretty sure that downgrading the firmware to 1.0.3 will work. I had been running at this level for quite some time and for some reason I decided to upgrade to the latest version which started the problems for me. I am downgrading to this now and I expect better results. All of the firmware versions are available at http://www.dlink.com/products/support.asp?pid=470&sec=0. You pick the right hardware revision. PLEASE NOTE: Save off/remember your settings as when you change the firmware it resets all of them back to system defaults.

Dlink router

what is your connection to the dlink router look like, plz define. If you think your connection settings are fine then try resetting (do this if you do not care about the settings on the router) the router to default settings by depressing the small hole at the back of router for few seconds and it will refresh the router to default settings. Try connecting now to an ethernet cable and it should work if not then you have to go into router settings and match the ISP provided settings for modem to work in the router configuration. For going into the router make sure you have the manual for it:
http://www.dlink.com/products/support.asp?pid=478&sec=0
select the model and download the manual as well as any firmware.
Hope that helped

Intermittent connectivity

Check to see if you are losing the DSL or Internet light on the modem when you lose your onnection. If so, then check with your IP provider, that may be the problem.
