Hi, One of my kids accidently (I hope) placed our phone Panasonic KX-TG 5431 in the glass with juice. It works well, but buttons (lower row) stick, and every time when i dial I have to apply some effort to release them. It lasts for about a week already and pressing is not getting easier. I would be very grateful for any helpful advice how to fix this. Thank you in advance, Alex
Up to you Here is a simple solution if your up to it. open up the phone taking care to place all the screws in designated areas, I open em on a piece of paper. The juice has sugar which has created a sticky residue on the rubber pad in which you will find once you open the phone. Take a que tip and some rubbing alcohol and clean the entire Rubber pad under the numbers. you can clean other areas also. MAKE SURE you allow it to dry then reassemble the phone and give it a try.
Hi Minus, It might be difficult to say this but there is the possibility that the phone's lower part that was submerged in water might already have a short in the keypad circuitry since being submerged in water of any known electronic product (not only phones) creates a malfunction on the submerged part. But you can try this out, try using a hair dryer to try and dry out any possible left out moisture on the keypad but dont get your hopes up because if this doesnt work, chances are you need to have the phone replaced.
