Redhat is a Linux open source product. You will either have to let it download overnight onto your system then make the appropriate cd or dvd to install it. Or you can look on eBay to purchase the Redhat software disc.
How was your day, hope fine. Sharp Ar5316 driver are for windows. This means that the printer drivers are only compatible with windows and not with linux. My advice to you is that please uninstall Linux system from your desktop and servers and install windowsxp instead and your copier will work. Remember to save important files while doing this as they may be lost in the process. Let me know your progress.
Redhat ... all installation guides are almost same, but before setting up installation make sure you have no critical data on you drive. You might end up setting it up on wrong drive or complete partition leaving you with erased data.
i don;t know redhat but there shoud be a no acpi option on boot , try that.... Anyway, the best thing that u can do is to go on redhat support or comuity formuns, and they will guide u ...
The Acer Aspire 4710 uses a SATA hard drive. Unfortunately Redhat Linux 9.0 does not have SATA support (uses the 2.4 kernel). You will have to upgrade to something recent like Fedore Core 7 or Ubuntu 7.10. Hope this helps.
