When you turn on the tv you get a blue outline of the picture to the right of it. I tried the convergence but that didn't work. The model # of my Samsung is pck6115r. It's a hdtv ready rear projection and was made in 2000.What I need to know is how to realign the picture tubes once I take the back cover of. Any help you can be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, csliman
Premtech's solution #1,is very good advice. I would also change the STK...IC's and the value of the resistors feeding the amps. I also agree that perhaps it is best to take the set to a qualified tech.
You should NOT need to re-align the crts to correct this problem... Chances are the failure is in your convergence circuit and most likely the convergence amps, (IZ103 & IZ104)Samsung p/n#AA62-30173D which may be substituted to an original STK394-250 and you'll need two of those. (Make sure they're not cheap knock-offs).. You may also want to test the resistors feeding those amps for change in value. And if I've lost you with any of this take the set to a qualified tech for the reapir - - you'll be money ahead... Under no circumstances should you need to change or alter the CRT placement. Chances are better for you winning the lotto three times in a row than it being a placement problem...
