How to open the casing

How do you open the shell of a Lasko Fan 2115? I'd like to clear the blade inside and perhaps, I might also see why it's a bit wobbly towards the base.

Question does the base underside have any removable screws that you can remove? If so, start from there. The top part of the fan should pop off with a screw driver. Exposing the screws securing the shell of the fan.

How do I take off to replace a lasko cyclone 3542 fan blade ?

Bex,
THose usually just pull off. You will have to pull hard because there is a spring clamp that they sometimes put around the inside hub of the fan. If there is a clamp, you will need to transfer that to the new blade. Hope this helps!

How do i take apart my lasko cyclone fan to clean the inside of it

You may need to UNSCREW the front half of you fan guard plastic casing or depress it in a few place if you see notches on the cage itself. Remember the knobs you will be removing to take the blades off to clean will be threaded opposite, one will screw off and on clockwise then other counter clockwise. Be sure FAN is UNPLUGGED BEFORE YOU open it up. Lay all parts in bathtub, Spray with Cleaning foam, pour lots of water over to clean all sides, then let drain and dry in bathtub. Less muss and fess this way!

Is there a way to open fan to clean blades? ty

yes, there are screws on the side that you have to remove first. you have to remove the screws for the handle on the outside of the fan case, but the rest of the screws are on the inside of the fan case. you will have to move the fan so you can get to the screw that is hiding. you will want to take the side off that does not have the power switch on it. I also like to use an air compressor to blow the fan out as well. this works just as good.

Fan rattles when running. It appears that the fan blade hits the inner plastic piece behind the fan blade.

Open it up by removing screws and plastic backing. See this black round rubber fixture? Apply some WD-40 inside it and you'll be back to quiet fan operation.

How do you take off the spinning part off of a lasko fan?

Just hold the blade and use a sharp knife and cut the string. It's really not that hard!

I want to take it apart to clean the fan blades ....how do I get to the blades.Cant figure out how to take off the protective grill?

remove all screws from the back and then slowly pry off from the back its click on there are latches that secures the backing, also remove the screws that holds the controls.

slowly pry open the case, i did mine in the middle and work my way around the unit, but it a bit tricky..

the best way to clean the device is to use a air compressor, strong air blowing inside while holding the blade with a screw driver. and even using a paint brush with long bristle, while blowing, this way you dont have to take the device apart.

good luck
