Question about Sony KP-53HS30 53" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I have a sony kp-53hs30 53 in. and the dark colors and the black shadows have a lil' green on them and if u change the temperature color the only one good is "vivid" cuz the other ones are greenish.....what makes me use the bright all the way in order to watch tv...what can i do? is worth it to fix it? and like about how much we are talking about? Thank u....
How old is this set? Sounds like a CRT issue, might be able to adjust the G2 control (SCREEN), you will have to pull the bottom pannel off the front and there should be another little 1/4" thick board that comes off with a few screws and then a 6 knob control, turn your color all the way off in the menu and adjust your screen controlls up till you get some overcolor with lines in it and then back down just before the lines (MAKE SURE YOU DEFAULT ALL YOUR USER MENUS) check that you have a black and white picture after adjusting all 3 screen controls like before with the menu color off. If you have a bad CRT it will go again, the CRT may no longer be available, if the set is not too old i.e. 5-8 years old it may be a defect with multiple CRTs.
