You probably have a blown thermal fuze, it is white plastic and attached to the blower housing.

Dryer want start up

There are several reasons why this may occur:
1. Open the dryer door and look for either a small lever at the top of the hole which through which you put your clothes or a small hole with a lever inside that can be moved with a pencil or screwdriver.
If you see a small lever near the top, push the lever in and see if you hear a slight "click". If you do, set the timer to dry, push the start button WHILE PUSHING THE LEVER IN. If the dryer starts, the metal lever you are holding may have gotten bent inward. Let the lever go and bend it a little further out. Then insure that the door makes contact with the lever as it closes and pushed the lever in enough to hear that click. Close door and try to start dryer again.
The same procedure will be used for the other type of switch. If there is a hole, use a screw driver to insert in the hole and push the lever to hear a click. Opposite the hole on the inside of the door should be a tab, or a finger type object that, when the door is closed, will insert itself in the door and push the lever. If this finger is missing or broken, it must be replaced. If the finger is there, stick the screwdriver into the lever and try to start the dryer. If it works, insure the finger is aligned to enter the hole properly.
If the dryer does not start with any of these tests, you may have a bad door switch, which we were testing. We will need to check:
1. That you have power to the unit. 2. That the dryer cord and terminal are ok and in working order. 3. If the thermal fuse is ok. 4. If your timer is working properly.
To troubleshoot further, I'm going to need the make and model number. The make (Kenmore, Crosley, Whirpool, GE) should be on the console. The model number may be on the inside of the door or on the back of the unit.
I look forward to assisting you further.

Dryer won't start. Door is fully closed, I checked the circuit breaker, the lint catch is fully in place. set timer and push start, but nothing happens

You can check the door switch...its a small lever like button that the door pushes inward when closed...with the door open press it softly and listen for a click...if you have a light inside the drum it should go out when you press the switch..If its not that.. it could be a the timer switch/dial and those could cost upward of a $100...these part can found with any local repair shop/person Good Luck

Just stopped working still has power-inside light comes on and timer makes noise when you turn dial but does not start when you push start button

This sounds like the door switch. But it could also be the non-resettable thermal fuse inside. Open the door, depress the door switch until it clicks, and while holding it in see if the dryer starts.

THE DRYER DOESN'T START BUT IT HAS POWER GOING TO IT

Verify dryer door switch is not defective...Button/pin depresses and is not loose. Verify that door switch has continuity when pushed in. Verify start button is working. Verify that rotary timer has poower going to it and timer is working properly. Check for any blown fuses inside dryer...might be located on a control board. Thermal protection sensor may have tripped and did not self-reset so check that.

Ge dryer will not start when i push start button

Look inside door and get me the model number. This could be many different things that can cause this. Bad door switch, high-limit, timer, start button and a lot more, so let me know what happens, check power to dryer and see if timer even runs. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Dryer wont start

What clicks?
The timer or a part from inside?
I am thinking either the timer control or door swith has become faulty.

Am I correct in saying that the motor does not start and/or the drum does not spin?
