No sound watching dvd clips in Cyberlink DVD Suite

erase it and download VLC player it will play anything almost including your movies

Try using windows media player or Real player to play a DVD and see if you get sound. If not try doing windows update <start> <program> <windows update> Updates usually fix that sort of thing. If nothing helps then look up on the web for DVD decoder for your Operating system.

Only Cyberlink Power DVD is compatible with Windows 7. Have you tried http://www.cyberlink.com/stat/window7-updates-center/enu/index.jsp ? You can check your compatibility with the suite you have and/or get updates.

I had the exact same problem with my LG model GH22LP20 DVD drive. This is how I solved my problem:

I finally solved this problem. It was a Cyberlink software problem; specifically the software bundled with my DVD which was a Cyberlink Suite w/ PowerDVD 7.0.

After going 3 - 4 rounds, via email, with Cyberlink tech support in India I finally got them to put down their "100,001 mindless ways to solve a software problem" manual and they emailed me a link to download a slightly newer version of the software; it was Cyberlink Hi-Def Suite, w/ PowerDVD 7.3.

I uninstalled my bundled software, and installed the newer software they gave me. After installing the newer software everything worked perfectly. If you're still having problems and have the same software version I started with, keep bugging Cyberlink tech support (be patient and diligent) until they acknowledge it's a software problem and send you a download link for a newer version. Good luck!

maybe dvd codecs. serach it in google

check your window audio driver if it install so again install dvd software

and install them Now your video will play the sound

should like your driver is going out how long have you had it

Why don't you try to use nero or cyberlink dvd suite to burn your dvd's. They will work on mostly al dvd players.
