The display is saying the fridge temperature is 16. We have tried to lower it and it flashes 3 - the temperature we want it to be. But then goes back to 16.
Over night it lowered to 14 and having left it for a day it has now gone down to 11. There seems to be no quick soloution. The top of the fridge is hot and food is not being chilled enough. Food at the bottome seems to be chilled enough.
The deodorizer light and twin cooling have now come on even though we did not put them on.
Any ideas?

I just had the same problem. The cooling coils are frozen over. Unplug the fridge. Empty the freezer and/or fidge. Remove the plastic panels inside at the back. I used a hair dryer to melt the ice. Dont force the panels as they have styrofoam on the back and might be frozen to the coils. Use towel to soak up water from melting ice in bottom. Once ice is TOTALLY melted from coils, then I took that opportunity to clean, since everything was warm. Replace panels and plug in. Start with temp at highest setting first. Then once it reaches that, let fridge set for a few minutes, then lower temp. That way the compressor isn't being strained all at once. DONT use power freeze or power cool during the time of first use after this procedure. On fridge side, you will need to unplug 2 connectors. They will only go one way, so reconnection is simple. This process will take 2 hours with removal & replacement of panels and melting of the ice per side. Just unplugging it and waiting for ice to melt would probably take over 2 days. Ours now works like it should. This whole problem was caused by a small toy in the freezer holding the ice maker flap open and letting way too much humidity into the freezer, which made it work too much.I just had the same problem. Re: Fridge temp too high
Probable cause is jammed fan.
first
take back panel off fridge, electrical connections are plug and socket. yoy may find a quite small build up of ice underneath the fan. melt it off and you should be ok. samsung are prone to this problem

If this is tight against the back wall and even side, pull it out some so it can breath... When a fridge is tight against the wall it can't breath with Air and works harder hench a colder temp.... Try pulling it out.. UNplug for 10 mins.. Lower the temp dial.. Plug back in. Also if you have pets make sure not PST hair is clogged underneath the unit..
Controlling the Freezer temperature
The freezer temperature can be set between -14°C (8°F) and -25?C (-14°F) to suit your particular needs. Press the freezer button repeatedly until the desired temperature is shown in the temperature display. Keep in mind that foods like ice cream may melt at -16?C (4°F). The temperature display will move sequentially from -14°C (8°F) and -25?C (-14°F). When the display reaches -14?C (8°F), it will begin again at -25?C (-14°F). Five seconds after the new temperature is set the display will again show the actual current
freezer temperature. However, this number will change as the Freezer adjusts to the new temperature. The top and bottom guards in the freezer of this model are the two star sections, so the
temperature in two star sections are slightly higher than other freezer compartment.
Controlling the Fridge temperature
The refrigerator temperature can be set between 7?C (45°F) and 1?C (34°F) to suit your particular needs. Press the fridge button repeatedly until the desired temperature is shown in the
temperature display. The temperature control process for the Fridge works just like the Freezer process. Press the fridge button to set your desired temperature. After a few seconds, the Fridge will
begin tracking towards the newly set temperature. This will be reflected in the digital display. The temperature of the freezer or the refrigerator may rise from opening the doors too frequently, or if a large amount of warm or hot food is placed in either side. This may cause the digital display to blink. Once the freezer and refrigerator return to their normal set temperatures the blinking will stop.
If the blinking continues, you may need to "reset" the refrigerator. Try unplugging the appliance, wait about 10 minutes and then plug back in.
The refrigerator does not work at all or it does not chill sufficiently.
• Check that the power plug is properly connected.
• Is the temperature control on the display panel set to the correct
temperature? Try setting it to a lower temperature.
• Is the refrigerator in direct sunlight or located too near a heat source?
• Is the back of the refrigerator too close to the wall and therefore keeping air from circulating?
This looks like there is a problem with thermstat in the fridge. We had a fridge that would not cool and we found it to be the thermastat problem. You have to replace the thermstat on the fridge. Not 100% sure but a high possibility.
There is a balance between the freezer and fridge. Reduce the freezer temp and see what the fridge temp does. By reduce I
mean make the freezer warmer. If it is set too cold the fridge gets colder.
