i clicked the timer / power standby by accident on the ampliflier and in the past the only way to reset it was to use the remote. i have lost the remote and can not buy a replacement. tried unpluging, but does nothing. looked for fuse to pull, but found none on back. help!

For those who accidently put thier CA-9025 in standby mode by hitting the timer button and no longer have the remote, I figured out how to turn them back on.

Turn on the power button and press and hold the Tuner button for at least 10 seconds. it should come back on :) Hope that helps.

For the Fisher CA-9025 amplifier stuck in power stand by try this, turn on the power, hold down the source direct button, should come on, mine did. The stand by light still shows in stand by mode but when I turn the system on and off it works normal. Stmbled up on this one, hope this helps!!

I suggest you get a schematic, find the main power transformer -- not the big one -- and see what the output voltage of it is. Could be there was a line surge and it cooked a zener diode that regulates power supply voltage. I can help you find a schematic.

I have a Fisher stereo integrated amplifier CA 9335 sometimes works sometimes doesn't?

Unfortunately this could be anything but after switch on do you hear a 'click'? if you don't then the receiver has gone into protection mode due to a fault on the output stage. The repair shop should be able to handle this. Simple voltage measurements will show an anomaly between the different channels. I would change repair shops if they can't.

Seems impossible to find an owners manual for Fisher CA-9025 Integrat4ed Stereo Amp been trying for a couple of days,

I searched and only saw Service Manuals as you stated. Not sure what information you need.

I saw several youtube videos that might give you contacts to email for assistance. I also saw what appear to be the same model for sale on ebay so you might also try emailing vendors as well.

Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUv1Y5e9cl0

When it comes to vintage equipment, manuals are hard to find as paper gets trashed and the companies that are no longer in business don't have web sites - not sure how you could get documents that you want without luck. That seems to be a model that is still being used from the web discussions I saw, so maybe consider posting or contacting blogs that have it mentioned.

FIXYA is a free service where answers are provided for free by users just like you, so if you have success with your question or know the answer to someone else's, please post it.

I have a Fisher Stereo Amp Model CA-9025 thats not producing any sound. I have the cabinet off the unit, the unit will turn on, but won't produce any sound. Any other fuses to check or other ideas?

These units use STK amp pac ICs (large black part attached to the rear heatsink). In many cases, this IC is defective. It is possible that there is a problem with the voltage regulator circuit, but that is less likely. This IC needs to be replaced. Expect to pay in the $50 range (or more) for the part.

CA-9025 amplifier the out speakers relay doesn'tsw.

It is possible that the error protection is ON and so does not switch on the amplifier to the speaker. Only if the error amplifier which is a current sensing circuit gets a good feedback on normal current drain will the processor be informed for the speaker relay to be switch.
So remove speakers and check, if not the output is faulty. check for short or drain in at least one channel.

When i got the fisher home stereo ca-9025 very little sound

Lets try the simple stuff first. Check to be sure that the tape monitor switch is not engaged. Since youare getting some sound, it appears that the signal path is being interrupted. It is possible that the output transistors have failed (open), but that is extremely rare. Check the tape monitor switch and update this with your results.

Thanks,
Dan

Fisher ca 9025 amplifier

The amp is in protect mode. Something in the final stage is defective. This is usually caused by shorted output transistors. This unit is worth getting repaired. Expect a parts cost in the $25-$50 range.
