There could be a small piece of paper or other matter blocking the feed. Try feeding a piece of thin card- simple load and eject don't try to print anything. Or Put a vacuum nozzle in the slot to suck any debris out. Come back for more advice if this is not the answer.

Error message to "Load Paper"

Push something thicker than a plain sheet of paper through. Cut a side of a manilla folder into a 8.5"x11" and let the printer try to grab it during a copy. After doing it's normal "grab the right side until it's skewed and stop", continue to try to push it through.

My printer has the blue light on the lightbult and low toner (but ink is fine) - it will not print anything. The stuff sits in the print queue and i have to eventually delete it. The report will print...

My work-around for this problem is to feed paper in manually through the front. I turn the printer off and make sure all paper is out of the printer. When you turn the printer on - and the blue light stays lit (if it doesn't turn it off and wait - I've had to wait quite some time sometimes).. then manually feed 1 sheet of paper in the manual feed tray at the front. When the paper is inserted... you should be fine to print - and keep feeding paper in until you get your job. If you miss - you might need to hit the "continue" (triangle button)..
I've been trying to find out why mine locks up - and why it keeps jamming - but this is a tried and proven menthod - althought it is annoying it might help you for now.. Good luck

My HP 4ML has been printing fine until recently. Every print job, big or small, the first couple of pages print the pages mostly black, then start to fade the more pages I print in the same print job. ...

You didn't say that you swapped out the toner.
Let's come back to that point later.

Put paper in the manual feed tray.
Print something.
As soon as the paper feeds halfway into the printer, open the top cover.
Pull out the toner, look down at the paper. Is it mostly black?
If the answer is yes....replace the toner.
Vacuum out the inside of the printer and print again.
I think you have a bad toner cartridge

IBM 1422 not feeding 8 1/2 x 11 paper through multipurpose feeder

Go into the paper menu and set the multipurpose feeder paper size to letter. It will work if the paper size is set correctly for the MPF.

Distorted printed documents

Try this steps first and these steps first :

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

HP Deskjet D2545

There is no envelope accessory. You feed your envelope in a slot just above the paper tray. There is usually a graphic on the tray to show you how to orient the envelope to get it printed correctly. Your word processor program should have an envelope printing utility. Hope this works for you.

Paper feed problem

don't know if it's the same problem i had but its maybe worth a try. My paper went in a little, the wheels were turning but it didn't take the rest of the paper or print.
someone replied to my problem, i tried it and its fixed 1st time, for others its taken a few attempts and then worked..
Solution:- Use a piece of thin card, a magazine cover is what i used, make sure its A4 size then try to print something, as the paper starts moving PUSH it through! and hey presto it worked for me, everything printing fine now. hope this helps, let me know how you get on. Garty

Add paper

I posted the same problem in here on 31 January 2008 and have found a solution to my problem. In the Properties window of my SCX-4100 printer, under Paper tab, I found it was showing my paper source as "Manual Feed". This was an absolute mystery as I've never used the Manual Feed, so it has glitched to that setting of its own accord. The printer would not work in any programs so it must have set itself to "Manual Feed" as the default. Once I set it back to "AutoSelect", it works fine again.

(As an aside, I discovered the answer when I was trying to print a document in Word for the nth time, and kept getting the Add paper/No Paper message. In Word, I went into File=Print= and under the Properties button opposite my printer, under Paper tab, I saw the problem. And so ended my days of frustration.)

I wish everybody else luck, and hope my post will help someone.
