Question about Krups KM7000 10 cup Grind and Brew coffee maker with conical burr
Just bought a Krups KM7000 Grind & Brew coffee maker and it won't make a full pot. Even when we fill the reservoir right to the very top, the best we get is 8 cups. I'd appreciate any ideas you might have. It makes a great cup of coffee and I'd hate to have to replace it.
My post on a different problem ( more common problem)
Sorry its not an answer YET.. Im working on solving it. ( I LOVE THIS COFFEEMAKER) despite the problems!
"I'm now experiencing what the original poster is experiencing, I've fixed the thermal fuse problem twice so far over the last two years. The thermal fuse allow the water flowing through the tube under the plate to heat witch forces it up to the brewing lid, if the fuses blow = no heat= no steam.. we are experiencing EXCESSIVE steam and verrrry slow brewing. Mine takes over an hour to brew half a pot and I have to fill the reservoir twice to get 2\3 of a pot.
It's all going to steam,, suggesting, to me, the temp is getting WAY TO HIGH.
Am I right? does anyone have any more info or clarification.. and what part might fix this.
how is the temp getting too high.. is there a temperature "SWITCH" somewhere?"
