Printer won't power up

I installed an hp 4315 all-in-one. It tested the fax without problems. It printed the test page without error. Then it went off and never came back on. I tried switching it to another power source--no luck. I rebooted computer--no luck. I'm packing it up and going back to the store.

Yup that's the thing to do eventually. Is this a model with built in power supply or does it have a 'PowerBrick' to plug into? Fool around with this area some before finally sending it back- connections firmly in place etc.

My Officejet 4315 All-in-One is printing very very slow How do I fix this problem? I have restarted it and unplugged then replugged it and have restarted the computer and it still prints really really...

The very first thing you need to do determine whether the issue is in the Hardware or in the Software for that on the printer .
1. Load plain paper in the tray.
2. Press the Setup button
3. Press 2 to select Print Report
4. Press 4 to select Self-Test Report . The self-test page prints.
Measure the time (in seconds) it takes for the test page to prints. If the test page prints in less than 60 seconds , this is normal print speed and you do not need to troubleshoot. If the test page prints in more than 60 seconds , go to the next step.
Important ;
Some products print faster than others. If the test page exceeds 60 seconds, and other documents you print typically take as long, the print speed is normal. Troubleshoot this issue only if your product is designed to print faster than about 60 seconds a page or if printing is slower than usual.
***** IF THE PRINT SPEED IS MORE THAN 60 SEC.
Check the power supply. to check the power supply you need to follow these steps.
1. Turn the product so that you can access the rear side.
2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
3. Remove any devices between the product and the power outlet, such as surge suppressors or power strips.
4. Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet.
5. Print and time a self-test again.
If the test page prints in 30 seconds or less , the problem relates to the power supply. Replace devices between the product and the power outlet, or leave the product connected directly to the wall outlet. If the test page takes significantly longer than 30 seconds to print, continue to the next solution.
CHECK THE CARTRIDGE COMPATIBILTY.
Incompatible cartridges can cause the slow printing problem.
Which cartridges you use depends on your country or region. To check the cartridge compatibility you can go to this site (for hp printers) http://www.hp.com/buy/suresupply and check The number on the cartridge label must match the numbers listed on HP SureSupply.
PERFORM A RESET.
1. Press the Power button and turn off the printer.
2. unplug the power cord. Disconnect the data cable(USB,Ethernet depending upon the the product set up). wait for 30 secs. reconnect all the cable and than try to print a test page.
if these steps resolves the issue than you dont need to continue troubleshooting or if the issue persist than Replace the Power supply for your product.

Good Day Sir, hope this will help you.
print cartridge troubleshooting for hp officejet 4315 :

1. Remove the black print cartridge from the slot on the right. Do not touch the ink nozzles or the copper-colored contacts. check for possible damage to the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles.
2. Reinsert the print cartridge by sliding it forward into the slot. Then push the print cartridge forward until it clicks into the socket.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the tri-color print cartridge on the left side.
4. If the problem persists, print a self-test report to determine if there is a problem with the print cartridges.
5. If the self test report shows a problem, clean the print cartridges.
6. If the problem persists, clean the copper-colored contacts of the print cartridges.
7. If you are still experiencing problems with printing, determine which print cartridge is experiencing the problem and replace it.

I have a HP 4315 officejet all in one and it prints fine...but when i try to fax a page it fails every time...why?

Good Day Sir, I have a solution to your problem, hope this will help you.

"HP 4315 officejet fax failed"
solution:
  • Turn off the machine by using the ON button and then unplug the power cord from the back of the machine. After a few seconds, plug the power cord back in and turn the power on.
  • Try to send or receive a test fax.
  • If you are running the test from the Fax Setup Wizard (windows) or Fax Setup Utility(Mac), Make sure the Machine is not busy completing another task, such as receiving a fax or making a copy. Check the display for a message indicating that the machine is busy.If it is busy, wait until it is finished and in the idle state.
  • Make sure you use the phone cord that came with the machine. If you do not use the supplied phone cord to connect from the telephone wall jack to the HP All-in-One, YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO SEND OR RECEIVE faxes. then after you plug run the test again.
  • If you are using a PHONE SPLITTER, this can cause faxing problems. connect the machine directly to the telephone wall jack.
run the test again to make sure it passes and the machine is ready for faxing.

Goodluck and God bless.

HP DESKJET380 NOT RESPONDING WHEN CLICK ON PRINT

After sitting in power save mode for a long period of time the printer might not function properly. This happens when the printer is plugged into a surge protector. Unplug from the surge protector and plug directly into the wall power socket.

Step 1:

Please try to print Self test Print from the Printer (without PC ie. remove the USB cable from the PC)

Step 2:
If the Self test Print is Ok, try to connect your printer to PC
and Print Test Page
Go to Start >> Printers and Faxes >> Select your Printer F380
then Right click Properties and Click on "Print Test Page"
If this prints Ok then all the connections you have made are correct
In case, it does not print then please check your USB cable try to change it

Step 3:
You can uninstall your Driver
and install the new driver, to download the driver for F380 All in One Printer Please click the below link
Choose appropriate Operating System
HP F380 All in One Printer Driver

I hope this will resolve your problem
all the best

HP LaserJet 1320 problem

For this you first uninstall any previous Driver. Install the Drivers after restarting your system. After Installing the drivers connect the Printer. Note down now the Driver must be automatically work because HP1320 is a plug n play Printer. If not change the cable used to connect the PC with Printer and if the Printer is auto detected, you will be able to print the Test Page or any other page.

Take the test page ( also called : alighnment page ) that always prints when you switch on the printer and place it face down in the scanner.

Then press the scan button on the printer itself.
(this is the button at the bottom of all the buttons on the printer/scanner.)

Make sure that the printer scans the test page.
( sometimes you press the butoon and it doesn't scan )
( it makes a scanning noise when scanning succesfully )

Then it will stop printing the test page ( alignment page ) ever again.

This is a really stupid product feature on HP's part to waste ink and force people to buy more cartriges.
