SOURCE: I have a L194WT LG Flatron monitor. One day it

Same problem started happening two days ago and ever since. I called LG and the product falls under a 3yr product warranty according to them (from my original purchase date of January 20, 2007). They will send packing slips to me so I can send the defective unit back to LG. I was told I am eligible for a replacement monitor - which will be shipped to me within 10 to 14 days (consecutive days, not business) - although I'm not sure what I'm being sent in return. My suspicion is that this monitor issue is a known issue by LG and they are quietly replacing the unit to those who follow through by calling CS.

Tips: Have your original purchase date on hand (in the form of a receipt) just in case they want proof of purchase.

SOURCE: No picture lg flatron w2234s blinking blue light

Hi My screen developed exactly the same problem. It appears to be a hardwear problem associated with the screen it's self. continuity test is ok on the lead so I took it back to the shop under warranty and hey presto, the replacement works. I don't know what the problem is but there are a number of other folks on another thread with the same problem and their entries are dated May 09 too.  Dave

SOURCE: I want to remove the rear cover of the lg flatron

simcraft's link was great ! It has pictures showing the dismantling procedure, but the document is in Chinese and so is the web site where it is located. Please remember that some internal components can retain a dangerous charge of electricity for a few minutes after disconnection from the ac outlet. Wait at least 5 minutes before attempting the disassembly. Try to find the service manual for any other LG LCD in your language and read the safety procedures - they are pretty much the same for all models.

SOURCE: How to open (remove back) Omnitech Vw19B LCD Monitor

You are right about the problem on the flourescent, but the issue is caused by the mosfet transistors. You need to use a flat screwdriver to pry the back of the display until you get this open. Start from the bottom side because some damage will be left on the plastic.

I have a new lg 65" and there are no wall mount bracket holes on the back. There are four screws....do these get removed for the mounting screws??

Yes, most likely they are. You can check https://www.primecables.com/c-18871-mounts-sit-stands for mounting sets or standing desk to your LG 65. I got a standing desk there and going to mount it soon. It's much more comfortable then to use a simple wall mount.

Remove stand from monitor

there will be screws on the back which will allow you to remove the stand, then on the back of the monitor their should be 4 screw holes, use these to attach a a flat plate wall bracket to it.
but if you can't remove the stand, then put a clap speaker bracket on the wall & just clap the base of the monitor, as this type of bracket can be adjusted both in & out & up & down.

Rehow could fix the sreen on wall?

Remove the LCD monitor stand, purchase a wall mounting bracket. There are several types, one is on an articulated arm which allows you to left, right, up and down. Another type mounts flat to the wall with limited up and down adjustment.
You need to check the mounting holes on the wall brackets so it matches the mounting screw holes on the LCD screen.

Hi - I would like to mount my monitor on the wall - can I salely cut just below the power input?

Most monitors allow for a wall mount to be screwed on to the back with a standardized kit. I would not cut anything if I were you. Just disconnect the pedestal and use a wall bracket.

Why does my LG flatron 1953T LCD monitor (19') goes white

Because the fuse on scaler PCB is blown. Open the monitor, open metal cover, disconnect all cables coming between display and boards, take the chassis off the display.
On back side of display you will see metal cover, mounted with tiny screws, take them off. Unscrew the board also and carefully tilt it up. Observe tiny chip fuse (referenced F1 or FU1 or something with "F") somewhere nearby the connector, ring it, replace it with solder drop.
Take everything back together.

I am trying to remove the stand on a LG Model : 52LB5D. I have removed the 4 screws on the back but can't remove stand. It feels like there is another screw or something holding it in.

If you are looking at the back of your tv there is the stand bracket with a screw on each side. remove those screws and nothing will happen. that is the problem i was having but if you look right above the ones you just took out and there is going to be a black screw. take those off from each side and it will fall off.

Monitor Stand

You have to lay the monitor face down, then pull the column hard at an angle until one side clicks out, then pull to get the whole thing off. It's detailed in the manual on the LG website.

How to dismount the monitor

What stand do you have? If it is screwed to the back with 4 or 3 screws, they must be removed first. look along the bottom edge and you will see 3 slots where the two outer cases match up. Put a flat screwdriver into the opening and twist, follow all the way around until you can remove the back half. Cut the tape holding the flat wire and remove the front half to remove the printed board under the front cover. You should now be inside the case. Remove the screws to remove the steal cover to find the printed boards under it. Reinstall is the reverse.
