One day my xbox stopped playing netflix. I have a good connection. when I choose netflix the red netflix sign comes up and then it goes black. I can't do anything and the whole machine freezes.

I know what to do.... it happened to me, but I fixed it. Ok you will need a peperclip for this to work. Take off the faceplate of the 360. And then what should have been the powerbutton, use the paperclip to hit it. It should turn on, then you can put the faceplate back on.

try clearing the memory cache

to clear the xbox 360's memory cache,
1. go to the system blade on your menu(should be the very last one)
2. go down to were it says memory, click on it. this should bring up your hard drive or other storage devices, press a on the one you want to empty
3. once youve gotten to the screen were it shows rename or format your storage device, input Y,X,X,LB,RB,X,X and a prompt will come up asking you if you want to empty your systems cache.
