Re: please help me now!!!!!!
Hi sir ,
it seems you have extra light exposure so it hapens from the selection you use on this camera as a LOW LIGHT
if you know where to find that selection or knub then try to select normal
or refer to AUTO select for the light exposure and white balance
that is the only matter to solve the problem
please don't forget to rate and remember i am here just for help

Look at the rear end of the tape cass and if the red tag is over the hole this prevents movies being erased, just push tag over to expose the hole and your tape will (should) be okay and work again. Be aware that if you pressed this tag over to stop recording, are you sure nothing is on tape you want to keep?
Hi, According to the symptom as you told, It seems that the "CCD IMAGER" is faulty and it needs to be replacement. For this please contact any sony service centre nearby to you and you can get CCD IMAGER there to change by yourself if you are aware how to fix it or otherwise service centre must help you in this regard, Thanks for using FIXYA!
DCR TRV140E is a Digital8 camera
CCD TRV87E is a Hi8 camera,
(Hi8 is an analog format)
the tapes are the same size, wont help, the recording systems are not compatible
send them to a lab service ?maybe if there are only a few
or ebay a Hi8 camera and transcode them yourself
its not a solution, at least it clarifies the problem
