It appears your belt has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Hello, I love my Ktchen Aid washer and have had it for over 17 years! It is a 3 speed, quiet scrub, extra capacity/heavy duty. The water fills the tub, but does not shut off and over runs onto the...

All you need to do, is see if you can find a Pressure Switch available at a Spares Depot. This is the problem with your Washing Machine. I do not know if you will still be able to get one though. The pressure switch notifies the Timer/Module when there is sufficient water in the Tub to commence washing.

Hope this helps.

CANT DRAIN OR SPIN WATER OUT OF MY WASHER

Set it toward the end of any cycle - it will sense the water level and pump it out before moving on.

Burned belt?

Yes, smell like your belt.. if there is water in tub, try to get it out... (wet vac)... slide your washer out and tilt it back so you can see under... there should be 2 belts.. 1 for gear and 1 for water drain pump... and you can check Sears.com for parts.. good luck...

Kitchenaid top load washer

Have a look underneath and see if the drive belt has fallen off. If it has, check this isn't because the pulleys have failed (look for spoke failure near the hub on big pulleys), then buy a new belt. Putting the old belt back on might keep you going for a while in the interim. A.
