All of a sudden my printer will not take paper from the paper tray underneath the printer. Whenever I try to print something it makes this horrible clicking noise and sounds like it is going to break. I did notice that the paper tray is not moving itself up so that the paper can be fed through. But it does not seem like that is the problem. Because when I fed a piece of paper through the individual feeder just above the tray it went through but it was still making that horrible clicking noise. Can somebody please help me with this problem?
Does it make the same sound if you feed the single sheet through the bypass with the paper drawer removed? I hate to say it, but your printer's paper feed mechanism may need replaced. Go to http://www.brother-usa.com/AskUs/default.aspx and ask Brother to diagnose this one; I think they'll confer with me and should be able to point you to a nearby Brother-authorized repair center. Let me know what happens!
