All of a sudden the Start button stopped working on my gas range... so, I can't turn the oven on, since after you set the temp, you have to press start... when I press any other button, I hear a beep, no longer the case with the Start button.

Re: Sart button stopped working
You are having a problem with the user interface. If you open up the back panel behind the console you will see a flat ribbon cable going into the control board.
With the electric off, make sure that the cable is in all the way, sometimes you might have to disconnect it and then reconnect it to get a good connection.
See if this helps. If it doesn't you will need to replace the control panel itself.

Set the oven for bake. Wait a couple minutes and look in the oven. If you see a orange glow the ignitor is working, but, may need to be replaced.
If you see no orange glow the ignitor definitely needs to be replaced.
the button your holding is the switch that tells the board that the consumer whats to bake.so if holding the switch causes that message to work[or oven to heat] and letting go of that button ,then no work .its that button ,but its all part of the board .just that part of its funktion is broken.,if it was lets say your oven ignitor or oven gas safty valve ,the board/oven control[the one with the button]would continue to try after you have selected bake [pushed button]or would give error code.hope that helps you. God bless you , tom
You probably have a short that is causing the stove not to heat up or you not to be able to control temperature settings. The stoves are made only to last as long as the warranty, and when it expires, the stove all of a sudden wants to break down. You might have to get a whole new stove.
my oven was converted to LP gas we move overseas. It worked for about a year then all of a sudden the oven stopped working. The burners work perfectly but the oven just keeps clicking after preheat is finished. We replaced the upper electronics board so what could it be now
If you can smell the gas when you turn on the oven, it may be on a separate igniter that has gone bad. I would check this first. If you are not getting gas to the oven, there is possibly an issue with the supply line.
