We have a Siemens A 08-16 front loader waching machine which doesnt appear to be emptying after its cycle. Any ideas about what the problem might be? Is it likly to be a blockage in the pipe?
Thanks

Kenmore dishwasher: Pre-wash cycle is too short: fills with water, runs for only one second, and then drains. The rest of the cycle is fine; the dishes get clean.

Pre-wash may be compromised and a new power circuit board may be needed.
My advice: As long as the other cycles are accurate and work as usual; Pre-wash in your sink (spray off waste material) before you place the dishes in the washer and commence cleaning. Its best to wash off food and other material before washing in the machine to avoid clogging the drains and pump.

A128QW BUSH washing machine. When set to number 7 for quick wash when it gets to spin cycle light flashes and nothing happens? do you know what can be done?

If this only happens on quick wash, it could be that this cycle does not spin. I have come across a few washers that do not spin on short or quick wash cycles. If it spins on all other cycles, I would say the machine is OK.

Washer control humming

it's always worth replacing the brushes - pattern one's are cheap at around 20 quid so it's just about the cheapest thing to try and washing machines do all mannor of crazy things you wouldn't think were related - like not draining (the water does still drain out but when it hasn't spun properly the clothes are still full of water for instance) worn brushes have a differing effect on difrent washing cycles. the other thing to suspect is the controller -but these are so expensive you can nearly always buy a cheap washing machine for less

Cycle not working properly

Hi.

When problem is in the spin part of the cycle it is usually because of either drain filter blockage, siphoning because of incorrect setting of the drain hose at the back, or because of a defective pressure switch.

Check the drain filter, check the setting of the drain hose at the back; clean the rubber hose attached to the pressure switch and eventually replace the pressure switch.

Most washers hide a copy of the service tech sheet inside the control panel assembly, tucked in a sealed envelope. If you retrieve the tech sheet you can also run the diagnostic cycle illustrated in the document.

Regards.

Wachine machine bangs when on spin cycle.

Unless your top loader is set firmly on concrete and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement.
Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or damaged.
If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.

Drain & Spin issue

Have you checked your water pump? Sometimes this is an issue of the strainer being plugged as well. Do you get any flashing error messages on teh screen?

Spinning

The reason why it aint spinning is because it is not draining. All new washing machines have what you call a pressure switch that can tell if water is present in the machine.. if present it will not spin.

your problem is either you have a blockage in your filter (5 min job) or you drain pump is not working properly

hope this helps merry christmas
