Hi, do you mean, making the pc boot straight to desktop without asking you to push the F1 key at the BIOS startup stage. to that i advice you boot into the BIOS setup and press F9 to reset your settings to default and press F10 to save it. then try again it will work.

My laptop wont turn on and yet its fully charge. The power light keeps on blinking with orange and when i push the start button, it turns green and when i stop pushing, it turns orange again-blinking.

Hi.

This sounds like there is a problem with the battery.
Remove the AC mains power and take out the battery from the laptop. Plug AC power back in and try booting the laptop up.
If it boots up let it boot into Windows/linux and then shut the computer down as normal. Remove AC power and re-insert the battery. Plug AC back in and power it up, see if it does the same thing. If it does the same thing the battery is faulty. If it boots up with the battery in then there was a glitch.

My ASUS Eee 1005HAB does not boot automatically.I have to press F1 or F2 to go to Windows ... Can you help me solve this non-automatic booting? Thank you..

What is the message that you are presented when you see the "push f1 or F2 buttons" ? A lot of times it is just a dead Bios battery that retains the configuration information on your motherboard. Do you have to set the time on your clock all the time by chance?

How do you get into the bios on a 785gt-e63 msi motherboard? read the book it said at start up press f1 did not work.

As soon as you turn on the computer start tapping (not fast, but steady) the F1 key, you could try F2, DEL, and other various keys that work on other boards.

Usually the screen will show you what to press in the corner or somewhere on the screen.

F12 for boot / F2 for BIOS / etc
Or it might say Press F1 or F2 or something to enter Set-up.

You have to catch it before the computer starts to boot into your operating system.

At this point you can push the power button for half a second and the computer should turn off instantly as you have not started booting up the computer.
Then you can try another key to enter the BIOS.

After locating the manual and skimming through it, I see that it states you need to press the DEL key to enter setup (BIOS).

Hopefully that helps.

My Dell Computer says it has to shut down, then reboots and comes up with "hard disk failure", I push F1 and it loads back up ok.

First open cpu cabinet and reconnect all connection to harddisk .
Also refix RAM memory.
Then when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "del" key to enter in bios then check your harddisk is detected proeprly.
aslo go to boot option and set first boot device as your harddisk.
Some times because of bed SATA or IDE cable is detected in bios but it not boot up.
So change sata or IDE cable .

Let me know if you need more assistanse.
Thanks.

My c840 latitude wnt boot with my previous power adpt you need to push f1 to start it

hello. That is because your computer measures the voltage from your power adapter. if the power is incorrect, then it will make you press f1 to adjust the computer to accept the power adapter. You need to get the correct adapter for the problem to go away. good luck !

Compaq evo-d510-boot problem

What have you recently plugged in as new hardware ? this F1 response indicates that a piece of hardware is not properly configured to run , and F1 is the offered option to go to CMOS to complete the installation.A most likely item will be a USB powered piece of hardware.
